Cogno AI Interview Experience for SDE Intern+FTE

Just before I received an interview call from Cogno AI, I was searching for an Interview experience with the company but was not able to find one. So I decided to write my interview experience for others.

Cogno AI visited our campus for recruitment of an SDE role (Intern + Full time).
They shared the list of eligible students and I was eligible to take the test. 

OA was on 6th September 2022

Round 1 Online Assessment (OA) :

• The coding test was on the HackerEarth platform. It consists of 3 questions out of which 1 was easy, 1 was medium and 1 was hard. Questions were mainly from array, DP, and greedy.
• On 8th September 2022, the results were out and I was shortlisted for the interview.

On 16th September Technical Round – 1 was scheduled.

Round 2 Technical Interview -1

• In this round, the interviewer was interested to check my knowledge and problem-solving skills. The interview was of 60 minutes duration.
• The interviewer was very friendly and asked me to introduce myself to him and started the interview.
• After that he asked to share the screen and he shared a Google doc to write solutions on it.
• He gave me 1st question which was to remove the nth node from end of the linked list.
• I first told the naive approach and then the optimized approach, and the interviewer was satisfied with the solution.
• He then gave me a second question which was on array + hashmap. the question was to find if the Largest subarray with K sum
• I told the naive approach and then the optimized approach after that interviewer tweaked the question a little bit and we were having a discussion on that for 5 mins.
• The last question he gave me was the variation of 0-1 knapsack.
• I explained to him the naive and optimized approach.
• After this, we were having a discussion on the company’s culture and what work they do.

After 20 mins I received a call from HR, and she told me I will be having my Technical Interview-2.
Technical Interview – 2 was on 21 September 2022

Round 3 (Technical Interview-2) :

• Basically in this round, they were testing my Django knowledge for 60 minutes.
• The interviewer asked me to explain the project that I have made
• I explained to him the entire project after that he told me to do a feature implementation in my project and I was allowed to take help from Django Documentation and Internet.
• After 20 mins I finished the feature implementation and he tried some test cases to see if everything is working fine.
• He was satisfied with the implementation and he told me to wait for the result of this round.

After 15 minutes I received a call from HR and he told me that I will be having my HR Round.
HR Round was on 21 September 2022

Round 4 (Human Resource) :

• The HR Round was with the Director of Engineering and CEO of the company and was of 30 minutes.
• They asked me what know about Cogno AI.
• What work does Cogno AI do?
• What are its Products?
• What are my hobbies and are there any benefits of hobbies in my coding skills?
• The final question was suppose I visit your college and meet your friends what good and bad things they will be telling him?
• After a few more questions, the Round was ended.

On 22 September I received a call from the placement cell that I was selected for the SDE Intern + Fulltime Role and the offer letter has also been shared on my personal email id.

Verdict: Selected.
