Brief description of the course

Back in 1998, the journey of the Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) course commenced within the walls of “Shatabdi Bhawan’s” first floor. The thirst for knowledge in the digital realm continued to grow, leading to the introduction of the Master of Computer Applications (MCA) course in 2004.

Fast forward to the present, the Department of Computer Application has found its home on the ground floor of “Shatabdi Bhawan”. Here, it flourishes as a hub of technological advancement. Within its confines, two cutting-edge computer labs stand proud, equipped with the latest “intel” based computer systems and a reliable Broadband Internet connection.

Moreover, the department isn’t merely a space for education; it’s a fertile ground for active research in the dynamic field of computer science. Here, minds collide, ideas spark, and innovation thrives, shaping the future of technology, one discovery at a time.

My College Journey

During my time as a student at A.N. College, Patna, I pursued my Master of Computer Applications (MCA) degree. Our academic journey was overseen by the dedicated leadership of Dr. Arun Kumar, who served as the Head of the Vocational Department. Under his guidance, discipline thrived among all students.

The environment was conducive to learning, with teachers always ready to offer their support and guidance whenever needed. Notably, the college maintained a strict policy against ragging. In the rare instance of such misconduct, a nearby police station within the Anugrah Narayan College campus ensured swift action and accountability.

Attendance was highly emphasized, with a minimum requirement of 90%. Failure to meet this requirement resulted in fines. Additionally, the college enforced a dress code: black pants paired with light blue shirts for boys and yellow kurtas with black leggings for girls. This uniformity fostered a sense of belonging and unity among students, contributing to the overall positive atmosphere of the college.

The fee structure for A.N. College’s MCA program amounted to approximately 1 lakh for two years. You have to pay in instalments.
