Hi!! Currently, a 2nd year student pursuing a Bachelor of Technology with a focus on Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering.

It was the month of August 2022 when we had just got our State Engineering entrance exam named “Combined Entrance Examination” results in the afternoon. With a rank of within 1000 in the state I was quite satisfied with my rank yet nervous too. Thoughts of getting my desired branch and the desired college revolved around my head all the time.

After one week the admission procedure started, it first came with the form fillup and relevant document submission along with the most important yet crucial part” Choice filling” of colleges and branches. I just completed my form fillup for the counseling and was just hoping to get my desired branch.

The first result of counseling came 5 days later and I was allotted Chemical Engineering at Assam Engineering College(AEC). Although I was able to get into my desired college in the first round of counseling I was not alloted my desired branch. I was happy yet nervous again. After another 5 days, the result of 2nd counseling was announced. This time I felt more nervous as I was not upgraded to other branches as per my choice. Hoping to get into my desired branch I had to spend 6 more days praying to god and wishing the best when the 3rd counseling results were announced. Boom! I was upgraded to Electrical Engineering. But this didn’t mark the end of my hopes as my 1st preference was Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering in AEC.

After the 3rd round of counseling, we were asked to join our classes in college. One sudden day, it was the eve of Diwali when I got the mail that I had been upgraded to Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering in AEC. That day marked the end of my hopes regarding a better branch and this marked the end of my admission experience.

And this is me today after spending 1 year as an ETE student happily enjoying the phase of learning
