Embarking on the journey from a small village and a Hindi medium school to securing a position as an Associate Software Developer at Accenture, my experience is a testament to the power of hard work, adaptability, and unwavering belief.

Round 1: Aptitude, Basic C, and Data Structures

  • The first round tested my aptitude, basic C knowledge, and proficiency in data structures. Overcoming this hurdle meant getting through to the next stage.

Round 2: Coding Challenges

  • In the second round, coding was the focus, but there was a twist – the compiler was malfunctioning. I took the initiative to understand and fix the issue before tackling two pattern-based coding questions.

Round 3: English Fluency and Accent Test

  • The third round assessed my English fluency and adaptability to different accents. This round required multiple attempts due to microphone challenges. Finding an isolated space was crucial, as Accenture’s software is sensitive to external noises.

Interview: Calm and Insightful Questions

The interview phase was scheduled next, with a calm and friendly interviewer. In a 20-minute session, she asked about my background, projects, conflict resolution within a team, extracurricular activities, and any certifications I held.

  • Tell me about yourself
  • Tell me about your project
  • How have you handled conflicts within your team?
  • Have you participated in any extracurricular activities?
  • Do you hold any certifications?

Selection Statistics: Beating the Odds

Out of 300 initial participants, only 50 progressed to the second round. From there, only 15 earned the opportunity for an interview. Ultimately, just 3 candidates, including myself, emerged successfully.

Conclusion: A Message of Inspiration

My journey signifies that background or language should not limit one’s aspirations. Hailing from a Hindi medium school and a small village, I want to encourage everyone to embrace hard work, believe in themselves, and have faith in a higher power. Don’t let pressure hold you back; success is attainable.

Final Encouragement:

In conclusion, to those on a similar journey, remember: the path may be challenging, but with dedication, belief, and the right mindset, success is inevitable. If I can achieve this, so can you. Keep working hard, believe in yourself, and stay positive. Your dreams are within reach.
