About My College

Currently, I am studying at IIIT Dharwad which is situated in Dharwad, a city in Karnataka. The college is well connected to the railway station and Hubli airport. To get admission at IIIT Dharwad, candidates have to give JEE Mains and qualify with a minimum cutoff. The weather is very pleasant here throughout the year and the college environment is very quiet and friendly. The college offers three branches namely Computer Science Engineering, Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, and Electronics and Communication Engineering.

Culture:

The culture of IIIT Dharwad is very good and all the faculties are always there to help us in case of any difficulties. The students are very friendly and hardworking. There is also a good coding culture here. There are many clubs to join in and showcase your talent like web development club, music club, DSA club, dance club, photography club, robotics club, blockchain club, and many more. Events are organized on a regular basis where you can participate and learn many new things and can also win many cash prizes and goodies.

About Hostel:

A boys’ hostel and a girls’ hostel are inside the campus and are very near to the academic building, where classes take place. Boys’ hostel is a four-story building and the girls’ hostel is also a four-story building. The hostels are very clean and there is a mess inside the hostel.

Other Facilities:

The college also has a canteen, gym, yoga room, hospital and shop with all the necessary items. A Knowledge Resource Centre is also there where students can go and study. Apart from that, there is also a basketball court, table tennis tables, carrom board, nets for cricket practice and a volleyball court.

Placements:

Placements at IIIT Dharwad are quite good in comparison to its year of establishment. The average package and median packages are increasing every year and the placement percentage is also increasing.
