DCRUST Campus Experience

Hello guys! So today I am going to tell you about life at Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram University of Science and Technology, Murthal (Sonepat). Currently I am pursuing B. Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering(2020-2024). This is a Haryana government state university(formerly known as Chhoturam State College of Engineering).This university spreads across an area of 273 acres and owns a very beautiful and lush green campus. I had heard a lot about this university from few of my relatives so I decided to take admission here(based on JEE rank). The first two years of college life went online (obviously due to Covid-19).

Finally in my 4th semester, my university again started in offline mode. Then we really got to enjoy college life. This university has all the facilities required by the students. Various hangouts for foodies are available. A basketball court, Badminton court, Gymnasium, Lawn Tennis court and a big playground is also available here. The classrooms are also good. Labs are equipped with instruments with AC installed.

This university supports cultural events as well. A lot of students get a chance to showcase their talent. There are various cultural societies also for dancing, drama, singing, and literature. A few names are Royal Punjab Group, SKA, Jzaa, Lisoc, Rebels, etc. Apart from cultural fests, this university also arranges a technical fest named as “TECHNOVA”.

Talking about the placements, this university has a good record. About 80% of students from the CSE branch got placed last year.
