IIIT Manipur Campus Experience

Leaving behind the comfort of your home, and embarking on a journey to a place unknown is never easy. This adventure started for me when I made the decision to follow my career goals in computer science. The destination? The Indian Institute of Information Technology, Manipur. But this choice was met with hesitation and an endless number of thoughts. What lay ahead? Would I adjust to this new environment? I had no idea that my stay at IIIT Manipur would become a wonderful journey that I would remember for the rest of my life.

My journey began with the JEE Mains exam, a rigorous test that determined my fate. The results were finally out after months of waiting and preparation, and I had gotten a seat at IIIT Manipur. Excitement, anxiety, and uncertainty were all mingled together in one confused bag of feelings. The institute was in a state I had never gone to and was far from my home. I was aware that my journey ahead of me would be difficult but thrilling.

First Impressions: The Beauty of Manipur

As I reached Imphal, the capital of Manipur, I was welcomed by the breathtaking beauty of the North-Eastern landscape. A tranquil setting with lovely lakes and lush hills provided a soothing backdrop. Compared to the bustle of my hometown, it was quite the opposite. It was breathtaking to see the campus for the first time, tucked away among the hills. The cutting-edge facilities and contemporary infrastructure of IIIT Manipur gave me confidence that I would have a fantastic academic experience.

People and Culture

The friendly and hospitable attitude of the people made this move easier. I felt at home as soon as I arrived on campus thanks to the locals, the teachers, and my other students. Everyone was welcoming, assisting with my transition and acquainting me with the customs and culture of the area. It was a pleasure to discover Manipur’s rich tapestry of festivals and cultural diversity.

Bonding with Batchmates

The relationships I made while attending IIIT Manipur were among the most enjoyable parts of my experience there. My fellow classmates, originating from various regions of the nation, contributed a range of viewpoints and life experiences. We frequently stayed up late discussing the highs and lows of college life, and it was because of these common experiences that our relationship grew even closer. Together, we overcame the obstacles of our academic activities thanks to the institute’s promotion of a sense of community and belonging.

My experience served as evidence for the notion that the most meaningful and enjoyable encounters can arise from embracing the unknown and moving outside of your comfort zone. I’ll always cherish the friends I made, the knowledge I am acquiring, and the experiences I am having at IIIT Manipur. I’m thankful I had the chance to be a part of this amazing college.
