I recently had the opportunity to interview for the ASE (Associate Software Engineer) & AASE (Advanced Associate Software Engineer) roles at Accenture. It was an on-campus opportunity.

There were a total of 4 rounds:

Exam Venue: College lab

Exam Platform: Safe Exam Browser – HirePro

Time Allotted: 90 minutes (90 questions)

Difficulty: Medium

Topics: Quantitative, English Ability, Reasoning, Pseudo Code, Networking, Cloud, MS Office.

There is no individual time frame for each section, and evaluations are done according to their internal cutoff (sectional cutoff was also there). This is an elimination round. If you fail to qualify, you will no longer be able to participate in the rest. After clearing this round, I received an email for the Coding Assessment round.

Exam Venue: College lab (On the same day after round 1)

Time Allotted: 45 minutes (2 questions)

Difficulty: 1 medium (Array) and 1 hard (DP)

This is a mandatory Coding Assessment and also an elimination round. After clearing this round, I received an email for the Communication Assessment round.

Exam Venue: Home (After 2 days)

Time Allotted: 30 minutes

Sections: 6 (Reading, Listening, Q & A, Jumbled Sentences, Retelling a story, Speaking)

This is not an elimination round. Every section has multiple questions, and each question is asked by a different speaker (pre-recorded). Questions are asked orally, and no text is displayed (except for the first section).

It is a mix of both a Technical and HR round. The interviewer asks questions depending on what I have written on my resume (projects).

  • Tell me about yourself.
  • Tell me something about your final year project.

Some follow-up questions, like whether your project was done individually or in a team.

  • Why did you choose this project?
  • Challenges or problems faced, and how you deal with them.
  • Share your insights from your internship experience.
  • Any extra co-curricular activities or achievements that you are proud of.
  • Do you have any questions for me?

This round lasted for around 15-20 minutes.
