The company provides a wide range of services, including consultancy, IT services, business process outsourcing (BPO), and services for digital transformation. Candidates take the Tech Mahindra Tech Test, a technical assessment, as part of the employment process at Tech Mahindra. The test’s objective is to assess a candidate’s knowledge of automata, computer science, and programming. The Tech Test is a necessary part of the Tech Mahindra placement test, even for those not enrolled in the CS/IT programme. The test consists of 26 questions, and you have 75 minutes to answer them.

Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for the Tech Mahindra Tech Test varies depending on the role that candidates are applying for. The general eligibility criteria is as follows:

  • Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer science from a recognized university with a minimum of 60% marks in their bachelor’s degree.
  • Candidates must be proficient in programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python and have a good understanding of data structures and algorithms.

Rounds

The Tech Mahindra Tech Test is conducted in two phases:

Phase 1

Phase 1 consists of three rounds. Online aptitude test, essay writing, followed by a Technical test. Each round is an elimination round.

  • Online Aptitude Test: First is the online aptitude test. This test consists of multiple-choice questions on aptitude topics such as quantitative aptitude, verbal aptitude, and reasoning.
  • English Essay: In the second test you have to write an essay on the given topic.
  • Technical Test: The last round in this phase is a technical test. This test consists of multiple-choice questions and coding problems on technical topics such as programming languages, data structures, algorithms, and computer science fundamentals.

Tips to succeed in this round:

  • Practice aptitude questions regularly.
  • Read the topic carefully and understand what you are being asked to write about.
  • Use proper grammar and punctuation.
  • Revise the technical topics that you have learned in your studies or work.
  • Practice solving coding problems.

Phase 2

Phase 2 consists of 2 rounds. A technical Interview and an HR Interview

  • Technical Interview: First is technical Interview. In this round the candidate is asked about his/her technical competencies, and the technical knowledge is evaluated.
  • Managerial Interview: People who clear the technical interview proceed for a managerial Interview where the soft skills and overall fit of a candidate are evaluated. This is the final round and after this round candidates get their final result.

Tips to succeed in this round:

  • Be confident and practice to speak in front of a mirror or friends.
