Tech Mahindra Interview Experience (On-Campus)

Tech Mahindra was an on-campus virtual drive. They conducted five rounds.

Cut-off

Educational % cut-off is increased to 70% throughout starting from 10th/SSC till Graduation/Post Graduation from an earlier cut-off of 60% throughout.

Round 1: Aptitude Test, English Essay/Story

All are MCQ-based questions and have no negative markings. There was three section Aptitude, English, and Story writing. The exam was conducted on the SHL platform. The time for the MCQ was 45 minutes. Writing a story based on the given topic and the time for this story is 25 minutes. The difficulty level of the topic was medium. It was an elimination round.

Round 2: Technical & Psychometric Test

This round was divided into two parts one was Coding and the second was Psychometric. In the coding section, there were two programming problems. One was easy and the next one medium and the time was 45 minutes. In the other section Psychometric test, all the questions were MCQ based, which was 70-75, and the time was 15 minutes. It was an elimination round.

Round 3: Conversational Test

After the completion of the Technical & Psychometric Test, I was selected for the next round which was Conversational Test. I received a Conversational Test Invitation mail from HR and the platform was SHL. The overall duration of the Conversational Test was 1.5 hours. This was like a boot interview. It was several sections like listening to a sentence and repeating the sentences, filling in the blank, and so on. It was an elimination round.

Round 4: Technical Interview

After completing the Conversational Test, I was selected for the next round, Technical Interview. I received a Technical Interview Invitation mail from HR and the platform was SHL. The overall duration of the technical interview was 30 to 35 minutes. The expert was very humble.

The expert asked me the following questions:

1. Tell me about yourself.
2. Which subject are you most confident in?
3. Tell me about your project
4. What is your role in this project?
5. What is your favorite programing language and why?
6. He asks me to write a basic program
7. Do you have any questions for me?

Round 5: HR Interview

After the completion of the Technical Interview, I was selected for the next round which was HR Interview. I received a HR Interview Invitation mail from HR and the platform was SHL. The overall duration of the technical interview was 15 to 20 minutes. The expert was very humble.

The expert asked me the following questions:

1. Tell me about yourself.
2. She gives me a topic to speak 2 minutes about that topic.
3. She asked me some condition-based questions and ask my opinion based on the condition.
4. Do you have any questions for me?

Bond Criteria: 2 years from the date of joining the company.
