Difference between 32K and 128K SIM Cards

In today’s world, mobile phones have become an indispensable part of our lives. The Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) Cards used in the phones are mainly used for calling, internet surfing, and message sending. These SIM Cards are available in various variants such as 32K, 64K, 128K, and 256K. This information is usually printed on the card. This represents the memory of the specific SIM cards.

The ‘K’ represents the kilobyte of memory present on the card. The earlier versions of the SIM cards had only 2G connectivity (32K card). As the times changed, newer technologies came into existence needing newer and better SIM cards with more memory space. The newer versions are used for 3G, 4G, and LTE internet connectivity. The latest versions, 128K and beyond have tracking systems in case the mobile phones go missing. The later versions are more advanced with more features, higher speed internet connectivity, and more storage space.
