Hello all,

I am a student at YMCA Faridabad College, currently studying in the 5th semester of the Bachelor of Information Technology course.

There are two modes of admission, online and offline counseling. I took admission through online forms in the year 2021. Therefore, I will mention the online mode process of application.

Application process: The official key dates for online counseling is announced on the official website of the college. One must take a keen eye on the official key dates, which will be available in the “Admission” section of the website. Along with this, the official website contains all the necessary documents required during the application process. The application forms are invited on the Government website HSTES (techadmissionshry.gov.in) for the courses which are AICTE approved.

I filled in my first three preferences of course according to the order:

  1. CSE (Computer Science and Engineering)
  2. IT (Information Technology)
  3. ECE (Electronics and Computer Engineering)

As I have slightly less JEE AIR rank. Therefore, the seat allotted to me was my second preference. Claiming the allotted seat takes a token amount of 10, 000 Rs. for General candidates and 1,000 Rs. for Reserved candidates.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Education: Passed 10+2 with PCM
  • Minimum marks: For general candidates, the minimum marks are 45%, and for Reserved candidates 40% is the barrier.
  • Entrance Exam Score: Entrance exam score varies for different branches per year. One can see the last year’s cutoff for each technical course by visiting Techadmissionshry.gov.in and then click on the “Last year opening and closing rank” section and then fill the course as “B.E/B.Tech” and Institution as “J.C Bose University of Science and Technology”.

Documents required:

  • JEE Rank Card
  • Seat allotment letter
  • Passport size photographs
  • 10th mark sheet
  • 12th mark sheet
  • Aadhar card
  • Income Certificate
  • Domicile
  • Character Certificate
  • Medical Certificate
  • Family ID
  • Anti Ragging
  • Gap Year (If any)

Verdict: Selected

Personal Experience of College: Some of the starting semesters went online due to the pandemic of Corona virus.

After that my offline college get started, then met to my classmates. All the students in my class are helpful and good. In terms of coding culture, the college is also good. College somewhere lacks in the infrastructure and Lan area, But these things overcomes when you will see the placement records of YMCA. Some big tech giants like Samsung, Adobe, Amazon, and Media.net visits regularly for on-campus drives and provide a handsome package.
