This drive was conducted by our training and placement cell from Sister Nivedita University. The drive was conducted in online mode.

Round 1 :

  • The first round was a virtual aptitude round. The aptitude test consists of questions from various topics like quantitative aptitude, reasoning, etc.
  • The questions in quants were from topics like profit and loss, Series based questions, Mixtures, etc.(as I have seen in my question set these are some of the common topics) and some algebraic-related questions. The questions were from easy to moderate level.
  • There was a verbal ability section after the quants. In the verbal ability part, there are English language questions like Comprehension was given and follow-up questions will be there related to that passage, synonyms, antonyms, narration-based questions, etc . and mostly of similar pattern as observed by me.
  • The overall first part questions including all the sections are of moderate level and decent practice can help you to score better.

Note: These suggestions can seem similar to other interview experiences I have because mostly the questions come from the same topics as I have seen in my question paper. These are truly based on my own experiences and don’t think it as copied and pasted from any other’s experience.

Suggestions: I suggest practicing questions from quants, reasoning, and verbal ability from various websites like GeeksforGeeks, PrepInsta, etc.

Round 2 :

  • Those who were able to clear the first round were shortlisted for the second round. The second round was a machine coding round or coding assessment round.
  • There were 4 questions that were arranged in increasing order of difficulty level. The first question was an array-based question where we need to sort the array first and then we need to replace the negative numbers if it is there with the positive number of the same magnitude.
  • The second question was a string-based question and it was to find the various subsequences of the given string. This question is of moderate level.
  • The next question was also an array-based question but this time it was a 2d array. In this question, we need to print a spiral pattern there. It seemed to me a bit hard as I was able to implement it half but as the timer was there so I am not able to write it completely in a proper working manner.
  • 5. The last question was also a string-based question and it seemed to me a bit hard.

Note: I was able to do the first two questions fully and the third question was passing only two test cases and all other cases are failing. But the time ended and I am not able to correct it properly and the third question I am not able to attend and not understand also properly (These are my own experiences and can differ from any other’s opinion because question sets are different always).

Suggestions: My suggestion to students is that try practicing and solving problems from arrays, strings, Stacks, Queues, 2d arrays, LinkedList, etc. Not always try to solve only easy problems but also focus on medium and hard-level problems.

Round 3 :

  • Those who were able to clear the 2nd round were shortlisted for the next round which was the Technical Interview round. This round was also held in an online mode.
  • The shortlisted students were divided into separate time zone each having a time limit of around 15 minutes.
  • The interviewer was asking questions about Java collections, JVM, Java updates in new versions, OOPS, etc. He was focussing more on theoretical portions as I have seen.
  • Then at last he asked 2-3 questions regarding my project how I prepared it, what components I used etc. and I was done. It went quite well.

Note: These are based on my technical interview round and can differ from any other’s opinion. Because the interviewer can not ask similar questions to everyone and everyone was not allotted the same interviewer and their project topics can be different, might he/she has done any internship so you can expect questions from your internship experience and so on.

Suggestions: Read about the language properly which you have mentioned in your CV. Not always the problem solving will help you but also you need to have a good grasp at theoretical portions also.

Round 4 :

1. Those who were able to clear the 3rd round of interviews were shortlisted for the final round which was the HR round.

2. Here again different time slots were given at a gap of 15 minutes for the interview. The HR was a friendly person and he started to ask questions in a very friendly manner as if I have been a very close guy to him.

3. The interview lasted for around 10 minutes for me. He asked questions like introduce yourself, tell me about your background(similar to previous interview experiences which I shared), and some behavioral questions as well like If there was a conflict between your team members how will you handle it, how will you show that your approach is better than any other guy in the team, etc.

4. Overall the interview went well . But one catch is that they were looking at both the technical and HR interviews of a candidate for final shortlisting.

Note: I have written them from my personal experience (not copying from some other student’s experience) and trust me these questions are almost similar to everybody who was shortlisted from our college to whom I asked about their questions. So try preparing well for these types of questions.

Suggestions: Try to make eye contact with your interviewer as this shows that you are confident. And tell your answers with confidence and else remain calm.

Important note: These questions may seem similar to other interview experiences which I have shared because in most of the companies I interviewed, I see almost the same type of questions, almost the same type of pattern they are following. So don’t think that I just copied and write the same experience everywhere, but it’s the real scenario based on my experiences.
