I applied for the position of Associate Software Engineer through my college and received an invitation for an interview. The hiring process comprised three rounds: an Online Assessment (on campus), a Technical Interview (on campus), and a Hiring Manager Interview (virtual).

Online Assessment Round (On Campus):

The assessment was conducted on the Mettl platform and consisted of two sections. The first section included technical multiple-choice questions (MCQs), analytical ability, and problem-solving. This portion, lasting 45 minutes, covered 30 technical MCQs, involving code snippets in C and C++. The second section focused on analytical ability and problem-solving, featuring 10 questions related to graphs and blood relations. Additionally, there was a coding question that required writing code in the C language.

Technical Interview (On Campus):

This interview lasted approximately 55 minutes. After a brief introduction, the discussion delved into data structures and algorithms (DSA) and object-oriented programming (OOP) concepts. I was given pen and paper to solve problems related to DSA, followed by questions on OOP concepts and some related to operating systems.

Hiring Manager Interview (Virtual):

Conducted on the Microsoft Teams platform, this 10-minute interview took place a week after the on-campus sessions. The hiring manager started by introducing themselves and then proceeded to inquire about the projects listed on my resume. Following this, they provided details about the company.

Preparation Tips:

Thoroughly review your resume, paying close attention to the projects and work experiences you have mentioned.
