I’m so happy to share my first campus experience here.

I studied in had This college has amazing placement statistics for a long time which attracts many students to join this college. MNNIT is situated in a very nice place in Prayagraj just along the Ganga river. Even the local market is very approachable.

MNNIT campus in itself is a whole small town. I personally usually don’t feel a need to step out of the campus.

When I joined the college, I was so excited to explore the college that I reached there 2 days earlier which was not a good idea though. The campus is very small and the exploration ended as soon as it started. But still I loved the campus as it was going to be my life for the upcoming 4 years. My first semester was online due to COVID-19, and we joined the college in 2nd semester. I took the whole semester to settle into a new environment as it was my first time away from home. Mess food was something that used to make me cry for the first week. In the first year, we entered the newly built hostels (DJGH). This hostel is very nice and has three-seater rooms., By the second year, I started exploring new clubs and committees and joined one of them. Clubs and committees are important I feel to maintain the sanity sometimes because the pressure of studies needs some relaxation and some time for our hobbies.

One very good thing about my college is its coding culture and exposure to different technical fields. The seniors are always motivated to keep upskilling themselves despite the situation. The coding clubs, robotics clubs, aeronautics clubs, etc. allow students to explore different fields. By the end of 2nd year, I knew my field of interest and started to work on it which was pretty late to discover though.

The college cultural fest (culrav) and technical fest (avishkar) are organized every year which were quite decent until this year. The fests are improving every year and the crowd gets crazy during the concerts.

The third year is all about preparation for internships. A lot of students get internships but this year it was quite difficult to crack the companies because of the recession. But still compared to other colleges I didn’t find a very big difference in the statistics this year too.

The placements are something everyone joins this college for, and this is never going to be a wrong choice because placements here are very good. A lot of companies visit our college (all thanks to the training and placement cell), I am in my third year currently and am looking forward to joining a good company next year.

One advice for the freshers I have is that it’s never too early to start chasing your dreams. Start preparing yourself as soon as you discover your field of interest. Also never hesitate to ask for help from your seniors or professors. They are always eager to help you.

ALL THE BEST!
