MNNIT Allahabad Admission Experience

My name is Suraj from MNNIT Allahabad. After the completion of 12th grade, many students start preparing for college admissions. The college admissions process is an important turning point in a student’s life. They would, however, be unaware of the most important information about college admissions.

Admission to college is one of the most important milestones in a student’s life. A student’s future employment chances can be severely harmed by making the wrong decision. As a result, a student must be aware of every relevant detail for college admission.

Further, a student must evaluate all of his possibilities and select the best one. As a result, a student must also be aware of the most important factors in college admissions. All of the criteria and tips for students who need help with college applications are listed below. Admission to college is one of the most important milestones in a student’s life. JEE Main is an entrance examination.

JEE Mains is not the most difficult exam, but it requires the best understanding of math, physics, and chemistry. Chemistry is always followed by NCERT books, but math and physics books prefer any reference book and NCERT.

The test day followed months of careful planning, countless hours of studying, and sleepless nights. As students from across the country sat down to answer the challenging questions, the exam facility was buzzing with anticipation and nervous excitement.

Total marks are 360 which is divided equally between Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

It is conducted in online modes ;

On the basis of your score, you get an All-India Rank. Based on this rank you can secure admission to various institutions like

1. National Institutes of Technology (NITs)
2. Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs)
3. International Institutes of Information Technolgy (IIITs) {Note that these institutions are private}
4. Some Government Funded Technical Institutions (GFTIs) like BIT, Mesra.
5. Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST)

There may be more institutions which admit partly or wholly through JEE Mains which I have not mentioned.

Choosing a Mechanical Branch at JOSSA.

Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JOSAA) will be conducting the counselling of JOSAA 20XX for all qualified candidates.

All candidates who have appeared in JEE Mains 2020 are eligible to register for seat allocation in the NIT+ system (except IITs) while candidates who have qualified for JEE Advanced 2020 are eligible to register for seat allocation in all participating Institutes.

JoSAA counselling process is nearly the same for IITs and NITs.

JoSAA counselling procedure :

1. Registration: Candidates who aspire to take part in JoSAA counselling must first finish the registration process. This is required for JoSAA counselling.

2. Selection and Locking of Choices: After registration, candidates need to fill the institute and branch as per their choice. JEE Advanced qualified candidates are eligible for seats in all the institutes while candidates who have cleared only JEE Mains can opt for seats in NITs, IIITs and GFTIs. After choice filling candidates can lock their choices, else it will be auto-locked prior to the results of Round 1.

My round 1 branch is mechanical engineering in Nagpur.

 3. Declaration of Seat Allotment

Candidates will be allotted seats in the institute based on their rank, category, preference and seat availability. The result of seat allotment is declared online. Candidates who have been allotted a seat have to download the provisional seat allotment letter and pay seat acceptance fees of Rs. 35000 (for General, EWS and OBC category candidates) or Rs. 15000 (for SC and ST category candidates).

4. Centres Reporting:

Candidates who have been assigned an IIT seat must report to any local IIT, whereas those who have been assigned an NIT, IIIT, or GFTI seat must go to any nearby NIT, IIT, or GFTI. Documents are confirmed at the reporting centre, and candidates are given the option to FREEZE, FLOAT, or SLIDE the seat that has been assigned to them.

FREEZE – Selecting this option means that the candidate accepts the seat at the institute and branch allotted to him/her.

FLOAT – If the candidate wants to participate in rounds scheduled ahead in the counselling then the float option has to be selected. The candidate can be allotted a seat in any of the institutes which he/she has locked during choice filling of higher preference than that was allotted earlier.

SLIDE – By selecting this option candidate can continue to participate in rounds ahead but the institute will remain the same i.e., only the branch allotted can change in rounds ahead but not the institute.

But I selected the float option because I don’t agree with my branch and college, so I’m the 3rd round allotted branch, Mechanical Branch, in Mnnit Allahabad.

Candidates can even withdraw from the counselling at this stage.

• Proof of Fee Payment by e-challan or Internet Banking of SBI for Seat Acceptance (Rs. 15, 000 for SC/ST/PwD candidates and Rs. 35,000 for others)

• 10th Standard Mark Sheet or Date of Birth Proof
• 12th Standard (or equivalent) Mark Sheet and Pass Certificate
• Photo Identity Card
• Medical Certificate
• Category Certificate (if applicable)
• PwD Certificate (if applicable)
• OCI Certificate or PIO Card (if applicable)
• Print out of Filled Choices for Seat Allotment

Confirmation of Admission at the allotted institute

After obtaining my provisional admission letter, I excitedly anticipated my physical reporting date at NIT Allahabad. I arrived on school on the specified day, overwhelmed with a mixture of excitement and trepidation. The admissions process started with the collection of a token, which aided in the organisation of students throughout the procedure.

Following that, the authorities meticulously scrutinised the documentation I had submitted throughout the JoSAA counselling procedure. This verification technique ensured that the papers were genuine and satisfied the institute’s standards. To avoid any delays or complications during this process, it was vital to have all of the necessary documentation.

Following the completion of the document verification, I travelled to numerous offices and departments to obtain the necessary signatures and complete the relevant paperwork. Interacting with the officials provided me with valuable insights into how the university functions and assisted me in becoming acquainted with the numerous resources available to students. This method also allowed for the clarification of any doubts or concerns.

I went to the hostel registration office to arrange lodging after completing the administrative processes. I supplied the required paperwork and was given copies as verification of my registration. The hostel staff was kind and helpful, providing an easy adjustment into hostel life.

Conclusion: My admittance to the Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology Allahabad was a life-changing adventure full of excitement, expectation, and new beginnings. From the difficult JEE Main Examination through the physical reporting day and subsequent admission processes, each step pushed me closer to realising my ambition of studying computer technology at a prominent college.

As I begin this new chapter of my life at MNNIT Allahabad, I am grateful for the possibilities that await me. I am excited to immerse myself in the realm of Mechanical Engineering ,increase my knowledge, and contribute to MNNIT Allahabad’s active academic environment.

I exhort any aggressive understudies who are going to start on their own confirmation processes to have confidence in themselves, really buckle down, and take advantage of the opportunities that come their direction.
