UEM Campus Experience

UEM Kolkata, also known as IEM Newtown, has a total of 3 buildings along with a basement playground for the development of students. UEM Kolkata’s Building 1 and Building 2 have 4 floors and Building 3 has 6 floors now, every floor contains 4-5 lecture grounds (classrooms). In every floor, there are 2 faculty rooms and separate washrooms for Girls and Boys. The campus has many student chapters like GeeksforGeeks Student Chapter, the Computer Society of India (CSI) Student Chapter, the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE) Student Forum, the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) Student Chapter, the Google Developer Student Club (GDSC), UEM MUN Student Chapter, they conducts various workshops, coding competitions and all for the betterment of student that helps students by learning from the industry experts and hearing from their experience students prepare themselves for the upcoming placement sessions.

Besides that, our college has cultural programs (eg: EUTOPIA, ECSTASIA) and techno-management events (eg: URECKON) to welcome newcomers and their talents. Those events are used not only by students of the UEM IEM group but students from all over India to showcase their talent both culturally and technologically. Also, we have the Renewable Energy Club whose vision is to clean the society for a better tomorrow and our college’s director Prof. Dr. Satyajit Chakraborty sir also gives us the enthusiasm to use green energy resources not only in our college, in our home also. Our college is using solar panels to generate electricity on our campus, and all students are responsible for keeping the campus clean. The Innovation Council is in our college to motivate every student to recreate and modify for the betterment of our society.

Now it’s on the ACADEMICS and EXAM PROCEDURE: Our Faculties are very serious about our academic growth, they believe in the skill development of every student thus the student gets hired by companies. In terms of class: every faculty used to research the topics of the syllabus and they used to highlight the key points in classes along with the way to remember all things and the interconnection between the chapters along with the hands-on experiences in labs. Overall, UEM Kolkata, among the private colleges of Kolkata, is the best one in all the sectors of infrastructure and academic placement.
