LTI interview Experience (On-campus) 2023

The LTI Campus recruitment event took place during the initial week of October. The criteria were there should not be any active backlogs to date. Also 60 per cent or above throughout the academics (B.tech, 10th,12th). No year gap was allowed in Btech however a year gap was allowed after the 12th but a re-exam will not considered i.e. student must have a minimum of 60% marks in a single attempt. Re-exam or improvement exam will not be considered. One of the friends had 59 percent on his first attempt and after improvement, he got 72 percent in 12th but he was not eligible for this drive.

There are three levels: level 0, level 1, and level 2. I was selected for Level 1. After merging with Mindtree it is known as LTIMindtree

There were 4 rounds: Each round was an elimination round.

1. Online Assessment
2. Online Coding round
3. Technical Interview
4. HR interview

Online Assessment:

It is an MCQ round. Time duration 80 minutes. It consists of Verbal Reasoning, Logical Reasoning, Passage Reading, Quantitative aptitude and Technical MCQ (Questions are from OOPs, Programming fundamentals, CPP and Java language basics). Questions range from easy to medium level. If you clear this round then you will be moving onto the next coding round.

Coding Assessment:

The LTI coding question pattern was changed after the 2022 batch. For the 2023 batch, there were 2 Coding questions 45 minutes for each. For me, one question was from a string and the second question was from an Array. The first question was of easy level and the second question was of medium level. Each of my batchmates got different questions.

After clearing both rounds interview will be scheduled.

Interview Round:

I don’t know the exact duration but my interview goes for approx 50-55 minutes. I remember some of the questions.

• Introduce Yourself
• Questions about myself
• OOPs- Function overloading, Function overriding, Different types of inheritance, Polymorphism and its type, Access modifiers and more.
• Reverse a string without using any temporary string. ie using while loop and swapping.
• SQL- what is Where clause, SQL query to find the maximum salary of the employee. Left join, Right join.
• If you are from the core branch (ECE) then why the IT industry?
• Some questions from my resume.
• Any questions for me?

I answered all questions and I cleared this round. After this HR interview was scheduled.

HR Interview Round:

After clearing all 3 rounds here comes the final round. Here is the list of questions they asked me.

• Introduce yourself.
• As I could not attend my HR interview due to my laptop mic issue my HR interview was rescheduled. So she was generally asking why I was not unmuting my mic yesterday. (She was very friendly and a nice being).
• Tell me something about your state’s biggest festival. (as I am from Bihar I explained to her about chath puja).
• What fascinates you?
• According to you what is success?
• Your preferred city to work in.
• Are you ready to reallocate as per business demand?
• Any question for me?

After clearing all 4 rounds I was selected in LTI for level 1. Overall entire recruitment process was soft and full of learning. My Technical round interviewer was humble and a gentleman I must mention him.
