Larsen & Toubro Infotech(LTI) which is now known as LTIMindtree visited our campus in September 2022. It was an on-campus drive that was recruiting freshers for three different levels; Level 0, Level 1, and Level 2.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • candidate should have aggregate 60% and above in 10th, 12th/Diploma and current undergraduate course.
  • No active/standing backlogs at the time of the interview process.
  • 10th and 12th examinations should be cleared in 1st attempt only.

Hiring Process: After registering for the drive they have arranged the preplacement talk for the eligible candidates. In this session, all the hiring process, exam patterns, and related doubts were resolved. Hiring process comprised of 3 rounds:

Round 1: Online aptitude test

This is the entry-level and in this round, you have to appear for the online aptitude test and you should score well in order to proceed further as this round 1 is the elimination round. This aptitude test contains the MCQs from different sections like; quantitative, logical, verbal, and technical MCQs. Questions are based on basic mathematics, number series, permutation, combinations, arrangements, time and work, probability, etc. Technical MCQs are based on Oops, DBMS, Data Structures, computer architecture, and computer networks. There is no negative marking so it is better to attempt each and every question. All these 4 sections have sectional time limits and you can’t switch between the sections. I’d rate the difficulty level of the questions as easy to medium. After clearing this 1st round you are eligible for the next rounds.

Round 2: Communication + Coding assessment

Communication Assessment: After clearing the first round you have to appear for a communication and coding assessment on day 2. The communication assessment is non elimination round but it is compulsory for every candidate to attend this assessment. This test is basically for checking your communication skills and it includes the sections like; read the sentences, repeat the sentences, fill the missing words in the sentences, find what is wrong in the statement and listen to the paragraph and answer the questions. You should have a desktop/laptop with a good microphone for attending this assessment. If a candidate clears the online aptitude + communication assessment candidate is eligible for Level 0.

Coding Assessment: After the communication test, you have to appear for an online coding assessment in which you have to solve 2 coding questions. One coding question is of medium difficulty and another one is of medium to hard difficulty level. You can use your preferred language for solving the problem and each question has its own time limit. These coding questions are based on data structures such as arrays, strings, etc. so you should have prior knowledge of DSA. you should have the prior logic-building capability to solve these coding questions and clear this round. If you solved one coding question correctly then you are eligible for a level 1 offer and if you solved both the coding questions correctly then you are eligible for a level 2 offer but the final allocation of the level is based on your performance in technical and HR interviews.

Round 3: Technical and HR interviews

Technical Interview: After successfully clearing communication and coding assessment, then you have to appear for the virtual technical interview in which they asked questions from Oops, Data structures, SDLC, etc. some common sets of questions are mentioned below:

  • What is SDLC?
  • What are the different SDLC models, and differences between the waterfall and agile models?
  • Explain Oops concepts with real-time examples
  • Questions on Java and C++
  • Explain technologies you have used in your semester projects.
  • Questions on Arrays, strings, etc.

Tip: You should be confident while answering questions. Prepare the basics of Oops, DBMS, and SQL. You should have proper knowledge of your preferred language and even if you don’t know the proper answer don’t panic and try to be confident.

HR Interview: After clearing the technical interview, then you have to appear for an HR interview in which they asked general questions about your background and your knowledge about the company. Some HR questions are listed below:

  • Tell me about yourself.
  • why do you want to join this organization?
  • Are you ready to relocate?
  • What are your strengths and weaknesses?
  • How do you solve the conflict between you and your manager?

After clearing all these rounds you will get final shortlisting from the company. I am glad to share that my overall experience was very good and I was selected at this company. You should be focused and if you have proper knowledge then you can definitely clear all these rounds.
