Park Jimin is known for his delicate and sweet voice. He has a charming personality and smooth dance moves which have won the hearts of a lot of people. He is an exceptional performer and dancer. Jimin is one of the members of the K-pop group BTS. He is the vocalist and dancer in the group. He is one of the most important members of the BTS group who has contributed a lot to its growth. Jimin (BTS) – Career From 2013 To Present:

Jimin was born on 13 October 1995, in Busan South Korea. There are four members in his family father, mother, younger brother, and him. At age of 6, he started to learn Martial arts, taekwondo, etc. Jimin was a big fan of animation cartoons in his childhood. Jimin attended Busan’s Hodong Elementary School and Yonsan Middle School. In 2014 he graduated from Korean Arts High School. Then he enrolled in Global Cyber University for further studies. 

One day he watched the performance of the famous idol Rain and decided to become an idol. In his middle age, he started to raise his interest in dancing and performing so, Jimin joined Just Dance dance class and started learning ‘locking and popping’ a form of dance.

After that, he took admitted to Busan High School of Arts and started learning contemporary dance. Because of his dedication and passion, he became one of the best students. So, one day his dance teacher suggested he audition for some entertainment companies. Jimin took this seriously and started to appear in different auditions. 

In 2012, Jimin cracked the audition in Big Hit Entertainment as a trainee. They trained him for one year and then he debuted on 13 June 2013 under the label Big Hit Entertainment. Being in the group, Jimin released three solo songs which were very popular and a lot of appreciation was received. 

The first solo song of Jimin was released in 2016 named “Lie”. His second solo song was released in 2017 named “Serendipity”. In 2020 he released another solo song “Filter”. The songs “Serendipity and “Lie” both had 50 million streams on Spotify in 2018 followed by the former’s full-length version from BTS “Love Yourself: Answer [2018]. These songs were related to the group and follow-up songs of the upcoming albums of the band. In simple words, these songs were released under BTS but are solo tracks performed by Jimin.

With these tracks, Jimin became the only Korean artist to have three solo tracks across 50 million views on YouTube. Again, Jimin had another achievement to become the first BTS member to have a solo music video that had 100 million views on youtube when “Serendipity” achieved the milestone. He was the only BTS member whose multiple solo songs were listed in the update of the Official Chart’s top 40 list in January 2020. In February 2020 the solo track “Filter” became the biggest streaming debut among all Korean songs on Spotify with over 2.2 million streams in its first 24 hours of release. It got the song of the year nomination at the Gaon Chart Music Awards which is the only solo BTS track to receive it. The song spent a year on Billboard’s World Digital Song Sales chart.

Jimin then released his first solo song outside of BTS release “Promise” on December 30, 2018. It was released on BTS’s SoundCloud page for free. In December 2020, he released his second solo song “Christmas Love” which described his childhood memories. In 2022, Jimin sang the first television OST of his career for TvN drama “Our Blues”. The title of the song was “With You” released on April 24, 2022. 

Jimin suffers from severe muscle pain in his back and neck. Once he was unable to participate in the concert of the group in Macau, China due to cramping in his neck and back muscles. The same year he canceled the recording of the planned appearance on The Graham Norton Show during the Love Yourself World Tour In London.

Jimin (BTS) – Achievement and Influence:

Jimin was ranked the 14th most popular idol in the survey conducted by Gallup Korea in 2016. He was also the only idol who ranked first for two consecutive years in the most popular idol category in 2018 and 2019. In 2018 he was the 9th most tweeted celebrity worldwide. Jimin was the 8th most tweeted about musician globally at the same time. Jimin won the monthly Peeper X Billboard Award for ” Top K-Pop Artist Individual”. Many other idols in the K-pop industry admire him and try to have the charm, dance moves, personality, stage presence, mannerisms, cuteness, etc that he has. So, the entertainment media has also named him “Idols of Idols”, “Idol’s Bible”, and “Rookie’s Bible”. A lot of idols have mentioned it personally like Ni-ki, Huening Kai, Beomgyu, Hyunjin, Wooyoung, etc. Even a British influencer had 18 surgeries just to look like him costing up to £150,000. A lot of girls and even boys are fans of him and his cuteness. The fans have given him several nicknames with which “Mochi” is the most famous one. Even the members of the group are whipped by his cuteness. He is one of the most loved and cared members of BTS.
