While I am in the third year of my B. Tech studies, I knew it was time to start applying for jobs. I came across an opportunity at ITK Education Services Private Limited through LinkedIn. I couldn’t let this chance slip away, and little did I know that this experience would leave a lasting impression on me. I applied to it on LinkedIn.

After Applying it It took around 10 days to receive an interview call. The interview was scheduled virtually on Microsoft Teams, and I couldn’t help but feel a mix of nerves and eagerness. The process consisted of two rounds – technical and HR. Though I can’t recall the exact date and time, the memories of that day are etched in my mind.

The technical round began with the classic “Tell me about yourself.” I felt confident as I introduced my skills and project experiences. The interviewer asked me about my favorite coding language and probed into Object-Oriented Programming (OOPs) concepts. I managed to answer these questions with ease. However, I stumbled when the interviewer mentioned ZOHO, an organization I hadn’t researched beforehand. I honestly admitted my lack of knowledge, realizing I should have done more homework about the company.

Moving on to the HR round, they were curious about my availability for work hours and how I handle challenging situations and conflicts within a team. The discussion also touched upon my salary expectations and when I could potentially start working.

The interview difficulty level felt manageable, and overall, I was satisfied with my performance.

The interviewers shed light on the tools and programming languages used at ITK, which were unfamiliar to me at the time. Despite this, I expressed my enthusiasm to learn and contribute to the team within a week. Despite my initial hiccup, the interviewers seemed understanding and mentioned they would release the offer letter.

Reflecting on the experience, I realized the importance of thorough research before any interview. I learned my lesson about not exploring ITK thoroughly, and I understand now how it could have made a better impression. Nevertheless, I confidently conveyed my willingness to adapt and learn, and I believe this played a role in my success.

For future interviewees, I highly recommend investing time in researching the organization, their work, and the tools they use. Being well-prepared in these aspects will undoubtedly leave a positive impression on the interviewer and increase your chances of success.
