Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIT Nagpur) Admission Experience 2021

Hi,

I am a student in Indian Institute of Information Technology , Nagpur (Maharashtra) in Electronics and Communication branch.

Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates must meet the eligibility criteria set by the IIIT Nagpur, including minimum academic qualifications and entrance examination requirements. These criteria may vary depending on the program and category (e.g., Indian nationals, NRI/PIO/Foreign nationals).Here admission takes places on the percentile obtained in JEE Mains;

Entrance Examination: 

Admission is done here on the basis of percentile obtained in JEE Mains. This JEE mains exam happens across all over India. Candidates need to register for the examination, fill out the application form, and appear for the test.

Application Process:

Candidates need to complete the application form for JEE Mains and submit it along with the required documents, such as academic transcripts, certificates, and photographs. The application form can usually be submitted online through the NTA official website.

Entrance Examination and Counseling:

Once the application process is complete, candidates need to appear for the JEE Mains examination. The exam assesses the candidate’s knowledge in subjects like Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Based on the exam scores, candidates obtain the percentiles , On the basis of percentile rank are obtained and cutoff is declared .

Counseling and Seat Allotment:

This seat allotment process happens on firstly , on JOSSA website for 6 rounds then on CSAB website for 2 rounds. During counseling, candidates can choose their preferred college, preferred program and specialization based on their rank and availability of seats. Seat allotment is done based on the candidate’s rank and preferences

Document Verification:

After the seat allotment, candidates are required to report to the college for document verification. They need to submit the necessary documents, such as educational certificates, identity proof, and other relevant paperwork.

Fee Payment and Admission Confirmation: 

Candidates who have successfully completed document verification need to pay the admission fees within the specified time frame to confirm their seat. Once the fees are paid, the admission process is considered complete.
