NSEC Kolkata Admission Experience

About the College:

Netaji Subhash Engineering College is a Private Engineering College, situated on the Outskirts of the City of Kolkata. It is a AICTE-Approved, NBA Accredited, MAKAUT-Affiliated College, with a NIRF Ranking of around 251-300.

Admission Process:

The Admission in the College takes place through WBJEE Counselling, JEE-Mains Decentralised Counselling, and through Direct Admission, which is also termed as Management Quota in our College. I gave WBJEE Exam back in 2022, and secured a Rank of 14700. I had applied for the WBJEE Counselling, and got a Seat in B.Tech in Information Technology (IT) at the 1st Allotment Round in this College. I waited till the last Mop-Up Round of the counselling, hoping to upgrade my seat to Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), but eventually got the same seat at the end.

For the admission process, one has to bring all the necessary documents to the college premises on the day of admission, including Migration Certificate, WBJEE Rank and Admit Card, Class X & XII Marksheet, Birth Certificate, Aadhar Card, etc.

Eligibility of the Course:

To secure a Seat in B.Tech in IT, one must have done his Class XII with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, and must have a WBJEE Rank of around 13000-15000. To secure a seat in CSE, the rank must be 10000-12000.

Reason for Choosing this College:

I did not had any plans for taking admission in this college, as I had initially thought of taking a Year Drop. But the College was well reputed, with good faculty and good placements. Also, the college was located in my own State, so communication was very convenient and better for me.
