Campus Experience

In this campus experience article, I am going to tell you about my experiences in college and a brief intro to IIIT Nagpur.

Indian Institute of Information Technology Nagpur is a highly renowned institute that was established in 2016 and was provided with the Institute of National Importance.

Infrastructure:

The college campus has a lot of greenery and now has four main buildings, Academic Blok, an Administrative building, Hostel Block, and a Residential block. The campus is Wi-Fi enabled, allowing students to access information and stay connected at all times. We have modern labs and classrooms are of also decent size with air conditioner facility in each. Also the academic block and a huge seminar hall where all the seminars are conducted. The hostel building is also very big with a capacity of around 800 students.

Academics:

The IIIT Nagpur offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs in the branches like Computer Science, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Data Science, etc.. The curriculum is meticulously designed to provide a strong theoretical foundation complemented by practical exposure to industry trends. The faculty is also very good and most of them are also graduated from different NITs and IITs. They are always available for the students to solve their doubts with their excellent teaching experience.

Events and Societies: 

On campus, there are a lot of clubs like drama clubs, music clubs, Dot Slash Community, etc. The major events happening in the college are TantraFiesta which is the Tech Fest of IIIT Nagpur and the other one is Abhivyakti which is the cultural Fest of the institute. The Arts Society celebrates creativity through music, dance, and theater, providing a platform for talented individuals to showcase their skills. Moreover, recent hackathons are also organized to ignite friendly competition among students, encouraging collaboration and problem-solving skills.

Placements: 

Since IIIT Nagpur is a recently established college, it still has a very impressive placement record, providing students with exciting career opportunities. Many companies visit our campus, offering good opportunities. Some of the renowned companies that have participated in our placements include multinational corporations like Samsung, Intuit, Groww, Amazon,etc. The highest package offered to students is 86 lakhs per annum, while the average package is around 24-26 lakhs per annum. These placements reflect the strong industry reputation of our college and the success of our graduates in securing rewarding positions.
