HSBC Interview Experience 1 (On campus)

HSBC visited our campus on September 15th,2023 for the role of Trainee software Engineer. There were 4 rounds.

1st round:

It consisted basic aptitude and logical reasoning questions, along with 2 coding questions which were of easy-medium level. Out of 1847 students,140 students were shortlisted

2nd round:

This was value assessment test. Out of the 3 statements given, we had to choose 2 statements that suits us the best. Out of 140 students, 91 students were shortlisted

3rd round:

This was face to face interview. Questions will depend on the panel you get. My interviewer asked me about the tech stack mentioned in my resume in depth. Few questions were

• Linux command to sort files
• Oracle db vs MySQL db

Few of my friends were also asked low level system design questions ( design a payment gateway etc).I was eliminated after this round.

4th round:

HR round

They hired 22 students from my campus.
