Microsoft Word is the mostly used software for writing any document in a good manner. MS Word also offers a special function that helps to provide a Watermark to the document. A Watermark is a special feature that helps to restrict any individual to copy the content directly. But sometimes, there is a need to remove the watermark present in the Microsoft Word document. For removing the watermark, for which we’re going to see the best two methods how to remove a watermark in Microsoft Word. 

Methods To Remove Watermark in Microsoft Word

There are mainly two methods present to remove the watermark from the word file. The first method might not work in all cases. For that purpose, there is a second method to remove the watermark. But it is advisable to first try the first method. If the first method is not able to remove the watermark, then try the second method to remove the watermark from the word file. Also, if users think they might jump to the second method to remove the watermark. There are no issues with that approach also.

Method 1: Using Design Tab in Microsoft Word

Step 1: Open the document where the watermark is present along with the Microsoft Word software & find a Tab in Microsoft Word as Design to click over it.

Step 2: After clicking on the tab Design of the Microsoft Word, a set of new options will be available on the Right-Hand Side of the screen. Now click on the option called Watermark to expand the menu.

Step 3: After clicking on the Watermark option, find an option called Remove Watermark. Simply click over it to remove the watermark from the desired document.

Hence, we have successfully removed watermark from the Microsoft Word using Design Tab.

Method 2: Using Header Option In Microsoft Word

Note: This method can only be used when the first method is unable to remove the watermark from the document. Sometimes, the document needs to be converted from the PDF version to the Word file version. In those cases, it will very difficult to remove the watermark from the document using the first approach. For all those cases, use the second method to remove the watermark from the document. 

Step 1: Open the document where the watermark is present and click on the Top most of the word file. It will now just bring up the header file editing option present there. Now simply double-click over that area to get this editing option.

Step 2: After making that changes, click on the watermark of the document and the watermark will be selected by default. Now, simply delete the watermark from the File by pressing the Delete button from the keyboard. In this way, the entire watermark will be removed from the document.
