Hello World,

EY comes under one of the Big 4 companies. First of all, let me tell you the campus hiring pattern:

  • Aptitude Test (30 Questions – English & Reasoning)
  • Coding Question (2 – Easy Level)
  • Technical Interview (25 minutes approx)
  • HR Interview (15 minutes approx)

A details explanation of the process:

Aptitude Test

It was a basic English and reasoning test, questions were very easy.

Coding Test

There were two questions which were of easy-difficulty level. One question was from Arrays and another was from Strings.

Technical Interview

It was a bit too lengthy.

  1. First of all the interviewer asked me to give the introduction.
Since I told him my hometown is in Jharkhand, he started asking me some HR questions and tried to have a conversation with me.
  2. After that, he asked me to write a code to swap a number without using a temporary variable.
I wrote the code with two methods – one by using the arithmetic operation and another by using the pointers.
  3. After that, he started to ask me some cyber security questions like – What do you know about cyber security? Are you aware of some of the security breaches in the Industry?
I answered that a consulting firm was recently attacked by an SQL Injection cyber attack and explained to him what happened what is SQL Injection and how to prevent it.
  4. After some more cybersecurity-related questions, my technical interview was completed and my name came in the selected candidate list.

HR Interview

Firstly, HR asked me to give an introduction. He asked me to explain about my projects what challenges I faced while making them and how I coped with those challenges.

  • Then he asked me if I was interested in any technologies.
I replied yes and told him I was currently learning data science and made a few hands-on projects on data science.
  • After that, he asked me if was I planning for further studies.
    I instantly said no.
  • Then at last he asked me about my location preferences and the interview ended.

After two weeks the final selected candidate list came and my name was on that list. This was my first job interview and I got selected for it. For the past 5 months, I have been working at EY GDS and it’s been a great journey so far. The people around here are very helpful and friendly.
