With a total area of 3,287,263 sq km area, India is the seventh-largest country in the world. From North to South, it lies between 8°4’N and 37°6’N measures 3,214 km, and from East to West it lies between 68°7’E and 97°25’E measures 2,933 km. It stretches from the Himalayan mountain ranges in the north to the tropical margins of the Indian Ocean in the south, known for its geographical and cultural diversity all over the world. It shares a long border with Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, China, Nepal, Maldives, Myanmar, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka.
