Barclays Interview Experience for FTE (On-Campus)

Barclays came to campus for an FTE Role

Round 1 Online Technical Test:

It basically contains 3 sections and the duration of the test was 1Hr and 30min. Let’s see the section-wise breakdown:

• Computer Fundamental:10 MCQ
• Coding Question:1
• SQL Question: 2

The coding question is basically medium-level ( Optimization required). [Out of 10 I got passed 7 test cases]

For SQL there were 2 queries one is to find the names of the employees whose names start with some specified letter and sort them according to their salary. The second question was about finding the maximum profit achieved by an employee like that. I do not remember it. But yeah it’s including some multiplication with one of the heading.

Round 2 Interview Round:

For Barclays Campus FTE Role there is only one interview round and final one round. Yes sure, I cleared the first round of the Barclays hiring process.

This round basically starts with an introduction of mine and the HR. Then gradually he came to my project just to check at which detail I knew about the project. It’s structure and way of explaining How am I to explain that he was judging?

He asked me Database-related questions which are basically related to the project and shared one query to solve and explaining it. The query was an SQL query to get the employee’s name and their manager’s name from the same table.

After that, he asked some managerial questions and behavioural questions and the interview ended on a good note!

Status: Not selected

But got to know more about myself where I am weak and continue to practice and build confidence.

One advice to all is just to stay calm and answer the questions confidently. Practice and hard work paid off. Believe in yourself.
