Valorem Reply Interview Experience for Associate Consultant

it is a kochi based company and the role for which i applied was related to big data.i applied to this company via naukri.com. my resume got shortlisted and i got mail for aptitude test.

Aptitude test:

It had 40 questions to be solved in 1 hour. the questions were based on basic english grammar,logical reasoning, quantative aptitude like profit loss, compound interest, work and time etc.

Programming section:

This section was part of the written round and was there with apitude test. it had 2 programs to be solved in 1 hour. the programs were based on simple array. practising such questions from geeksforgeeks ,hackerearth etc was helpful for me.i solved both questions with all test case passed.

the written round results were declared within a week and i got mail to attend interview .the interview round went like this-

There were 2 people, it was managerial cum technical round.

person1 & 2-good morning

me-good morning all

person 1- breifly introduce yourself

me- introduced myself

person 2- tell me OOPS concepts

me- explained with real life examples

person 2- show me how will you write a class and object in python

me- i got stucked there, as i wasnt able to recall the exact syntax but vaguely told him

person 2- what is SQL?

me-explained.

person 2- write a SQL query to update the name of student whose rollno is 2

me-explained.

person 2- write the syntax of right join

me- wrote

person 2- write a program to reverse array in python

me- a[::-1] where a is the list

person 2- what does the :: means?

me- scope resolution operator

person 2- write the program to reverse array without using ::

me- i wrote and explained.

person 1- how do you manage difficult tasks given to you?give an example where you overcame the difficulty in real life

me- explained it using my real life incident

person 1- thats impressive. what was your role in the final year project?

me- everyone contributed equally in everything

person 1- ok great. explain your project

me- explained.

person 1 & 2- any questions?

me-no

person 1&2- ok then, we will end this interview.

result- i was not selected . all the best to you reader.
