Round 3 – Managerial Round

  • Some of my friends had another technical round, so even I thought this was a technical round.
  • So when I was asked questions about my projects, such as the challenges faced during my projects, I was answering the questions with technical details and the interviewer asked me no to mention technical details.
  • The interviewer went through my resume and asked questions based on the details that I had mentioned in my resume.
  • Some general questions such as – “Why did you apply for Toshiba?”, “What do you do when you are demotivated?”, “What all books do you read?” were asked.
  • Some puzzles were given to solve. I had prepared puzzles from GeeksForGeeks so I was able to solve those puzzles
  • Then I was asked if I had any questions, for which I asked them about higher studies opportunity while working in their company. This was a negative move from my side. The interviewer answered it positively but it left a black spot. Due to which I think, I was not selected for the next round.
  • The next round was the HR round and all those who were qualified for that round were selected for job and internship

Suggestions

  • Remember to smile and be cheerful, it gives an admirable impression to the interviewer
  • Try and calm your nerves during the interviews, even if you don’t know the answers to any of the questions try and explain a bit.
  • Aptitude questions play a huge role in the online round and most of the students are eliminated in this round.
  • Go through resources for explaining output from code in C language
  • Catch up on your OS, C++ and C concepts
  • Even if you don’t know all the parts of a question ask the interviewer if you could explain at least part of the question.
  • Coding questions are comparatively very easy and you’ll clear the questions with ease. If you find coding difficult try looking into the most asked C coding questions from GeeksForGeeks.
