TCS visited our campus (Tier 3) for roles for Ninja Profile (Associated System Engineer) and Digital Profile (System Engineer) respectively. The process was the same for the most part.

Round 1: Online assessment

It was an OA that lasted for about 2.5 to 3 hours. The round was conducted on a software browser that we were asked to download beforehand. There were aptitude-based questions and 2 data structures questions.

Round 2: Technical Interview – Online

We were provided with a list of students who got shortlisted (80 students) and only about 15 of them were selected for the digital profile. A mail was sent by TCS for the conduction of interviews on our respective dates. I was given a link for the digital interview. There were 3 panelists present on the Zoom call. 2 of them were technical and one was HR. They asked for a quick introduction and based on that and my resume they asked questions. The first panelist asked me about Git and GitHub, some basic commands like revert and restore and how it work, the difference between Git and GitHub. The second panelist asked me about Java. Why do I like Java, basic Java questions like classes, abstract classes, interface, string, etc. along with some OOPs concepts as well? The final panelist asked me about my availability and provided me with an email to send my documents for verification (12th mark sheet, semester marksheets, aadhaar card).

Verdict: Got selected for the Digital Profile (System Engineer). It was an easy process throughout.
