I had my NQT exam on 19 August 2022, and I got a mail from TCS telling me that I had cleared the examination and was selected for the TCS Ninja Interview.

I had my Interview scheduled on 27 September 2022 at 11:30 am. The platform where my interview was conducted was Talview. There were 2 panelists, the first one was TR+MR, and the second one was HR. (Interview Duration: 25 min) The first question that the interviewer asked me was “Tell me about yourself”. Then he started asking some technical questions. They were:

  • Do you know Java? (I said Yes)
  • He gave me one coding question in Java.(sorting of numbers)
  • What is abstraction?
  • Where is Gadkalika Temple situated?(MR ques)
  • Difference between primary and foreign key?
  • Difference between RDBMS and MySql?
  • What are joins in DBMS with examples?
  • Difference between a Compiler and an Interpreter?
  • Difference between Array and Objects?
  • One coding question in C++(average of 30 numbers).

HR Round:

  • Tell me about your family.
  • Have you ever lived without your parents?
  • Are you a creative person?
  • Tell me your 2 strengths and 2 weaknesses.
  • Can you relocate?
  • Do you know about one year bond of TCS?
  • Why do you want to join TCS?
  • Can you work night shifts?

Then HR asked me to show all of my documents(10th,12th & Semester Marksheets) and then told me to leave as the interview was completed.

I thought the interview was completed by half an hour after the interview,I got a call from TR again, & he asked questions related to projects that i had mentioned in my resume(on call)(about project description, my role, tools and technology used, difficulties I faced ). (duration: 4-5 min approx).

On the same day at 6:00 PM, I got an email in which it was written that I have to report at sharp 9:00 AM at the TCS office, Indore next day for the document verification process.

They did my document verification & after 2 days I got an offer letter from TCS 🙂

Overall Experience: TCS generally asks basic questions, so work on your basics, and most importantly you have to put all your attention into clearing the written exam mainly(NQT). If you have cleared the written examination, half of the battle you have already won.
