Recently Solveda conducted their drive for B.Tech students in our college for the role of Associate Software Developer.

There were total 5 rounds so let’s look at this one by one.

Round 1 [HR Screening] :

This was a telephonic interview just to check your verbal and communication skills so basic questions were asked in this round like –

  1. Brief introduction about you.
  2. Will you be comfortable with Java as they were looking for a Java developer?
  3. Preferred Job Location.
  4. About Bond.
  5. Any questions for me?

This was a very basic round that lasted for approximately 15 minutes and then I received the mail for my written round.

Round 2 [Aptitude and Technical Written Round] :

This was the written round of around one hour with basic aptitude and technical MCQs. Most of the questions were of logical reasoning.

So it can be easily cracked with good knowledge of aptitude and with a good speed.

After a few days, I received the mail that I had qualified for this round and was eligible for the first technical interview.

Round 3 [Technical Round – 1] :

The following questions were asked-

  1. Introduce yourself.
  2. The dashboard-related question that I mentioned in my internship during the introduction and the tech stack used in making that dashboard.
  3. Query to delete a few rows in a table based on a given condition.
  4. What are the class components in react?
  5. State vs. stateless in react.
  6. What is Jsx
  7. Can a web browser read JSX?
  8. DSA Question based on Two pointer Approach – Given a string with letters, digits, and special characters. Reverse the string but not the special characters. Then discussed about different approaches and the Time complexity used in both approaches.
  9. How to implement Toggle up-down functionality in react.
  10. What are props in React?
  11. What is a try-catch in Java?
  12. Can the constructor be final in a class?
  13. Various Sorting algorithm complexity.
  14. About one project related to e-commerce that I’ve done.
  15. Any project in Java and then asked about Interface as I have implemented Interface in my Java Project.
  16. Why you have chosen React not angular or any technology like that?
  17. What is Binary search and its complexity? Why not a linear search?
  18. What is indexing in MongoDB?
  19. Any questions for the interviewer

So this round lasted for around 40-45 minutes and went well.

After a few days, got a call from HR that now I am eligible for 2nd technical round.

Round 4 [Technical Round – 2] :

The following questions were asked-

  1. Introduce yourself.
  2. What are the different subjects you have studied in B.Tech.
  3. What is OOPS
  4. Four pillars of OOPS
  5. Why method overriding is important if we are implementing everything again?
  6. Why inheritance is important and gives a real-life example.
  7. What are data members and member functions in OOPS?
  8. Abstraction vs Interface
  9. Tell me everything you have studied in the Operating system.
  10. What are ACID properties in DBMS?
  11. Give me a scenario where you will use a traditional database and one scenario where you will relational database.
  12. Any questions for me?

So this round lasted for approx 30-35 minutes and was average as I got stuck a bit in scenario-based questions.

After 2 weeks got an email that my final managerial round was scheduled.

Round 5 [Managerial Round] :

This was the final round with the manager of the company.

The following questions were asked-

  1. Introduce yourself.
  2. About my internship.
  3. Why Solveda.

  6. Any questions for me?

So this round lasted for approx 15-20 minutes and that’s it.

After 2-3 weeks I got a call from HR that 4 students were selected from my college and I was one of them.

Verdict – SELECTED
