Pune Institute of Computer Technology Campus Experience

Pune Institute of Computer Technology(PICT) is ranked 8th among private Engineering Institutions in India, 1st among all private Engineering Institutions in Maharashtra, and 4th among all Engineering Institutions, including IITs, NITs, and Govt. It consists of 3 branches : CS, IT and ENTC. It’s one of the best college to kickstart your successful carrier ahead.

Infrastructure :

The Campus is small, awesome and peaceful. It consists of 2 main college building one for 1st year & other one for 2nd year and higher. It also includes Hostels for Boys and Girls along with 2 minor buildings. The Hostels facilities are quite good & also the peoples there are quite helpful and makes things available easily. But coming on to the sports department for outdoor it’s just with a basketball and Volleyball court where all the other sports are too played. Indoor Gaming stuffs are quite good like Carrom, Chess, Table Tennis, etc. Campus being small makes people easier to communicate. Also, there is a Canteen in the College with Average Rated Food Quality & also it’s a point of Chilling out as well as gossiping with friends. College does have a vast collection of varied books in the Central Library(Reading Hall). The library is never seen to be completely empty ever, the curious peoples are just always interested in increasing their knowledge!!!

Academics :

In Academics, PICT is one of the best colleges in Pune in my opinion. It’s under Savitribai Phule Pune University. Here in PICT, it’s quite easier to get as many people up or above 9-grade points. It’s quite strict in its Academic Activities making students’ futures bright. Also, the Placement Records, of the college are above 90% and many Good Companies visit here like PhonePe, Bloomberg, Adobe, Deutsche Bank, Samsung, Dhruva, Arista, etc. It does have a good median salary of around 12 LPA. Also, there are clubs for the people’s interest in GRE, GATE, UPSC/MPSC as well.

Faculties :

The Faculties are here highly educated and do have years of experience. Many among these faculties also do hold Ph.D. degrees as well. Faculties are quite strict and just always keep students updated with their work. Students are trained quite well as per the syllabus provided by SPPU & also there are extra classes for the students not performing well in Academics(Slow Learner Batch). They do guide students in the best they can.

Events and Societies:

PICT is full of events yearly. It consists of Technical as well as Non-Technical events. Technical Communities include PICT IEEE, PISB, Pictoreal, Credenz, etc. For the people interested in Creativity, it’s Art Circle for them where all the creative work is done like Dancing, Organizing Events and making them colorful, Creative Art, etc. There are many Technical Events as well like Coding Events, Hackathons, etc. “Addiction”, organized once a year is the beauty of PICT where people can show off their talent in Dancing, Singing, & also coordination with other people too. Also Annually there are Intra-Sporting Events organized by the College & respective Team heads (Captains of the Sport) like Cricket, Basketball, Football, etc. making the year completely memorable.

Placements:

If you are aiming for academics & placement purposes then blindly you can just be in PICT. The Placement Record is just being unbelievable and is above 90% for the past 3 years(2020-21 onwards). Around 100+ Companies visit PICT Oncampus Every year. The highly rated Companies/Dream Companies visit here on-campus like PhonePe, Bloomberg, Adobe, Deutsche Bank, NVIDIA, Samsung, etc. The Highest Package is above 35 LPA and the Average/Median Package is above 12 LPA this year. There are timely contests and seminars organized by college clubs for Placement Purposes and also students believe in helping hands to each other.

Other :

The coding Culture of the College is entirely different here and is one of the best in my opinion. Students here keep themselves completely engaged which helps the college to Uplift. Also, College Clubs organize timely seminars & tutorials for seniors and experts to guide students to different carrier opportunities. Overall PICT is one of the best Colleges in my opinion !!!
