Sinhgad College of Engineering Pune University Campus Experience

I have completed my BE in Computer Science in 2022. Overall, your college experience is basically defined by the kind of friends you make and how much networking and learning you can extract in those four years.

Campus:

Sinhgad College of Engineering or as we call it (SCOE) is a beautiful campus located in sinhgad road, full of trees which makes it beautiful in Pune rain. we have memories of rolling at different shops in college.

They have tried getting girls’ hostels, schools, dental sections, some shops, and colleges together so that it is safe for girls and a wholesome experience. you can see kids, doctors, almost everything in one area. its located in a little hill area so it makes the sunset and sunrise exceptional.

First-Year :

I got admission to the Computer Science department and got great teachers with ONLY one computer subject in the first year. Most people around your roll number will be your friends in the first year. you are lucky if you stay friends until the last year, We had different cultural things organized by our seniors and the teachers were mostly therapists.

One piece of advice for all my juniors would be to focus majorly on networking and not forget your studies in between. you can do anything(ANYTHING) if your marks are good.

Second- Year:

In the second year, we got our own branch of computer science, everything was only about computers now, with placement instructions. Teachers were different, friends were different, and everything changes after this year.

For the second year, there is no advice. Life will teach you a lot of lessons here.

Third-Year:

you will understand how time flies, we understood the exam patterns until here, and we had our placements going on by this year. We are assigned different placement coordinators and councils. Preparation of projects, DSA, CP everything starts at full speed this year.

Advice for the third year would be to be calm. I saw people getting placed around me, I doubted myself a lot and i questioned my abilities too. Focus on your preparations, it all goes well at the end. The average placement was 5 lakhs and the highest was 24 lakhs from our college placement cell.

Fourth-Year:

Almost everyone will have interviews and they will get placed by this year. I got placed at the start of my fourth year, which I thought was very late. After placements, I did not try for any other off-campus interviews, and fulfilled all my dreams of starting a business and going on trips, but some gave a lot of interviews and gained a lot of experience with different companies.

This is actually the best time of your life, you will have a lot of things going on here, you will have attendance issues, some people face placement problems, and its all about how you develop yourself in these four years. you will leave with a lot of people you know, a much better person.
