Mahindra Comviva Interview Experience for Product Development Engineer (On-Campus) 2023

Initially, we got the mail to apply for Comviva (A tech Mahindra Company) campus drive from the college

Total Rounds in the Hiring process: 3

1. Online Assessment
2. Technical Interview
3. Hr interview

Round 1: Online test on Mercer Mettl (Platform)

From our campus total of 477 students were eligible for the first round.

Online Assessment Includes:

• Cognitive Ability.
• Tech competency 1 (MCQS) (includes core Java and Oops concepts).
• Tech compitency 2 (MCQS) (includes Data structures, Linux).
• Tech compitency 3 (MCQS) (includes Html, CSS, Dbms).
• Tech compitency(coding) -2Ques (Easy to Medium level).

Round 2: Technical Interview ( Duration – 30 mins)

After first round out of 477 only 54 students got shortlisted for this round.

The technical interviewer was very cool . He started my interview with some fundemantal questions like Tell me about yourself ?, he asked me to explain the objectives, roles , and outcomes of one of my projects from the resume.

Then the interviewer asked me some questions on the topics of Data Structures and Algorithms, Software Engineering, Dbms, Python, C++ etc.

Some of the questions asked by him are:

• What is Waterfall model ? difference between waterfall model and Agile model?.
• What is the difference between pass by value and pass by reference in c++ ?
• which is more efficient : x=x+1 or x++ ? why?
• Given SQL table with subject marks and multiple students and asked to find maximum marks for each student in each subject.
• SQL query to fetch data from table.
• What is meant my software development life cycle and what are the phases of SDLF?
• What is meant by stack ,What is meant by queue and how it works ?
• What is meant by Binary search tree ?
• What is BFS and explain BFS Algorithm.
• One coding question in Python how to reverse a string. languages(c,c++,java,python (java is more preferrable)).

Java

After technical interview out of 54 students 32 students got selected for HR round.

This round was Easy Mainly focused on my communication skills.

Some basic questions like:

• What is your Family Back ground.
• Why should we hire you?
• What do you know about this company?
• Explain one major project that you have done.
• Are you Flexible for relocation?
• How you will contribute your self when you are in a team ?

Finally after three days of out of 477 from our campus 15 got selected and got the final offer letter from the company. And I was one of them.
