JNTUH Jagtial College Experience

About the college:

JNTUH College of Engineering, Jagtial recently became autonomous. It is located at Pillala Marri of Jagtial District. People who get good scores in Eamcet get a seat here. The college had a total of 3 buildings.

1. The administration block which includes first-year classes of all branches
2. The other building includes ECE, EEE and Mechanical branches
3. The final building includes CSE and IT branches

The environment of the college is very good. You can find a good number of trees and a cool environment as it was on the forest side.

My journey:

First-year:

First-year was a memorable experience as we make new friends. This is where we study physics and chemistry apart from our core branch subjects. I started developing an interest in coding, as everyone will have C language as a subject in the first year. The teachers used to conduct seminars. Through seminars, we develop public speaking and communication skills.

Second year to final year:

This is where we enter into our core subjects. We will become acquainted with our core subject teachers. You can ask as many doubts as you can. The teachers are very friendly. Slowly, by the third year, we will become very serious about getting a job. Everyone will start learning aptitude to crack the written test of several companies. The final year project is very important for a job interview. So choose your final year project wisely. We enjoyed a lot in the college fest which was conducted every year. Fest is a beautiful opportunity to share your knowledge to the world.

About placements:

TCS is a major company in our college. A lot of students get placed in TCS every year. Apart from TCS, we will be having many other companies like Infosys, Tech Mahindra, Deloitte, Cognizant etc. Companies start hiring from 3rd year itself. So, it will be a wonderful opportunity to get hired.

My Learnings:

At B.Tech, you get plenty of time, so use it wisely. Through I did a lot of online courses, I too wasted a lot of time. You need to think about your job and future from the first year itself. This way you won’t regret it when you are in the final year.
