The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) is a rite of passage for many aspiring engineers in India. As someone who embarked on this challenging journey, I can attest to the rollercoaster of emotions, late-night study sessions, and the triumphant moments that defined my JEE experience. Though I was not able to clear it, It was a great experience and taught me lots of things.

JEE EXAM

Firstly, it is important to understand that the JEE is not just any other exam. It requires a lot of hard work, dedication, and smart study strategies. As someone who has gone through the entire process, I can safely say that the key to success in JEE lies in consistent and disciplined preparation.

LEAVING THE HOUSE FOR THE FIRST TIME

I started my JEE preparation in 2019, two years before the exam date. I joined a coaching institute far away from my hometown which was also a new experience of living without family and trust me it was one of the best decisions. In today’s life, it is very important to leave your house and explore the world. Breaking the comfort zone, when you need to do all things on your own, you become bold and how to manage things. You learn to interact with this world. You learn about how to deal with this world, and who can you trust, and most importantly you start making decisions. Decisions may prove wrong something but the learnings are very valuable.

BATTLE OF BOOKS AND COACHING

Then institute provided me with a structured study plan and access to experienced teachers who guided me throughout the journey. I also made sure to practice a lot of mock tests and previous year’s question papers, which helped me understand the exam pattern and type of questions asked.

One of the biggest challenges during JEE preparation is balancing your time between school, coaching classes, and self-study. I was admitted to one of the schools in the city. The school pressured us to take exams which made it very difficult for me to cop with school and coaching studies. But this taught me the value of time management. Initially, it was difficult but with time, I was able to manage both things.

FIGHTING WITH FAILURES

The heart of JEE preparation lies in the countless hours spent buried in textbooks and solving practice papers. In the regular classes, you perform and respond well. But when you give coaching monthly exams and the results are not what you expect, It hurts a lot. Here comes the main key to cracking this exam. You need to get demotivated. Make one thing very clear, do not compare yourself with your peers. It is a competitive exam but do not create a competition of numbers. Your focus should not be on the difference in the marks but on learning from the mistakes.

NEVER GIVE UP

I have seen a lot of students giving up when the exams are coming near and you are your mock test is not satisfying your expectations. Just keep on revising and practising. While practising, never leave a doubt unsolved. Once a doubt is left, it will be wiped out from your mind and you will regret it when the same question comes in the exam. Always have a positive attitude while preparing.

THE EXAM DAY

During the JEE exam, I was nervous but also confident in my preparation. I tried my best to stay calm and focused during the exam and managed to attempt all the questions within the given time. My advice for the upcoming exam writers is to never be nervous during exams. Be confident about what you have studied. Do not think of the topics you were not able to prepare. Have confidence and give your hundred per cent.

GOOD LUCK WITH THE FUTURE

In conclusion, the JEE is a tough exam that requires a lot of hard work and dedication. However, with consistent preparation and smart study strategies, it is possible to crack the exam. So, if you are a JEE aspirant, my advice to you is to stay focused, stay disciplined, and give it your best shot. Always give your best and never doubt yourself that if you have done more hard work, you would have cleared it. Never get disappointed if you have failed. The life must go on. Many more opportunities come your way. Good luck!
