IIT-JEE Exam Experience

Hey peers, if you are here in search of articles to get to know about life after cracking IIT-JEE or other university entrance exams or even maybe some private engineering colleges(don’t get worried, you also have a good scope in the future to shine). All this story starts in my life in something around 2019 when was first time I took an IIT-JEE or (Jee Mains) exam, my sister took it for the first time and based on her experience I thought it was going to be a tough one for me and we are from a normal middle-class family and we cannot afford very high coaching fee institutes( hope you got to know what I’m talking about), so I convinced my father that papa believes me.

I will crack this time and don’t worry my friends said this institute is also good as it also contains some rank producers and this story continues to 2021 when out of 4 attempts my best was only 95% with some change, which was decent but as I don’t have any kind of reservation so it is hard for me to get into a good college/branch even using the home state Quota (for NITs ) so one last hope for my father is that private engineering college entrance exam(not gonna mention but secured 2.6k rank out of 1.8 lakh unique students) my father is very happy about my result.

So, I can finally graduate in the city I’m living and live my life in front of him. But my inner feeling said Bro you’ve worked for freaking 4 years since school hood and now you want to give up all this, but on the other side my parents are not ready to accept the one-year-long drop (as it was already during the pandemic and lockdown so it is best time to move on quickly), but my inner feeling didn’t let my dreams die, so without informing my parents just through some online doubt solving platforms and using my friends in that college to gain some more knowledge and luckily the library of the college also helped for my preparation a lot.

One more year has gone by, and the result day has arrived, and not bad but I secured 98%ile (again with some change) and after checking with previous year trends, I was getting something like good college/branch but not both(for my case) so opt for good branch and after all my planning and analysis one fine day, I saw a good timing and informed my parents that I did so and so in this one year of my college life and I again secured some decent rank( in my father’s perspective) but still my father is not gonna change his mood of changing my college, but using my sister and my friend’s advice-giving to me (and finally somehow changed father’s mood), now I got into some decent college with a good branch and now the real journey starts.

After all these years of hard work finally going to enjoy a second chance at life to enjoy the engineering life, which only some students get but engineering far from home is not that easy (note this dear reader), in the initial phase there was some kind of disturbances in campus and from seniors(hope you understand what I am talking about), so I restricted myself from the outside environment and struck to the coding environment and practised daily coding on different websites(like GeeksforGeeks(POTD), Leetcode(POTD), Codechef(remember Wednesday ), occasionally Codeforces), this is the initial phase and the coding club of my college was inactive for the first semester but later they got active by conducting the contests and post contest discussions and slowly friends circle grew large , and now in the second year worked hard and consistency (it is the key) made me selected as a member of the club, but maybe I’ve tried to into other clubs like GDSC (Google Developer Students Club) or the Robotics club in my college my life would be different as I feel like in this club I’m preparing for interviews where as other clubs teach about the new technologies. So my fellow juniors who are going to plan something and then give it a try in all domains, new technologies are amazing and interesting.

Everyone gets new opportunities in life but using them perfectly makes life complete(life is like a mathematical equation and sometimes life may get non-differentiable but never let the circumstances make your life dis-continuous at any point in your life).
