It was an On-Campus placement drive for Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET) Role under the JIO Sparks Programme. The Placement Drive started with an introduction about the company and their requirements followed by Round 1.

Round 1: Aptitude +Coding Exam (medium)

  • 24 Aptitude/DBMS(Basics)/Coding Knowledge (Basics) + 2 Coding Questions.
  • The Test is not that difficult and it’s solvable if you are an ‘Average Coder’ and have basic knowledge of the programming language and DSA.
  • Out of almost 200 students, 53 students are selected directly for the Technical Interview. Rest have an opportunity to sit for Technical Interview, provided they undergo the GD round and get selected.

Round 1.1: Group Discussion (GD):

  • The rest students that are not selected are divided into groups of 8-10 students
  • From each group only 2-3 students are selected, the rest are out of the placement drive.

Round 2: Technical interview: In the Technical interview, they asked me :

  • The difference between website and webpage.
  • What is blockchain and what are DAPPS?
  • What is the meaning of SEO?
  • What is Cloud Computing and its types?
  • What are Joints in SQL?
  • Difference between RDBMS and Non-RDBMS.
  • Examples of Non-RDBMS.
My interviewer was a little bit rude and intimidating in nature but I held my confidence and faced the interview boldly.

Note:

The questions are mainly asked about what things are mentioned on your resume, and it also depends on the interviewee, like for example my friend was asked a question on maths just to know his problem-solving skills as he had mentioned on his resume. So it depends on your resume and how the interviewee perceives it.

Round 3: HR interview: In the HR interview, they asked some personal questions, about what they expect from JIO and what are their plans, etc. It is comparatively lighter than the previous test.

Based on rounds 2 and 3 your selection in JIO Sparks will be dependent.
