Scrum and other agile methodologies are integrated into SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework), an agile framework. SAFe is designed to help organizations tackle the challenges that arise from having several teams working on complex projects by adopting agile methodologies and concepts across large corporations.

  • One of the most popular agile methodologies, Scrum, is commonly incorporated into SAFe, however, SAFe goes above and beyond Scrum by providing additional guidance and a framework for implementing agile practices at the enterprise level. SAFe is a complete framework for large-scale agile development that incorporates several agile methodologies such as Kanban, Extreme Programming (XP), Lean, and others.
  • SAFe is a framework that helps businesses achieve agility at scale by using a range of agile approaches and processes. It isn’t mainly Scrum or any other particular agile approach.

To put it briefly, SAFe is an all-inclusive framework that incorporates a range of agile approaches and methodologies. Its primary goal is to empower organisations to attain agility at scale, going beyond the limitations of discrete methodologies such as Scrum.
