National Institute of Technology (NIT-Raipur) Campus Experience

College is the best part of a student’s life. Students are always excited about the college life. The college shapes the future of a student. NIT RAIPUR is the place where all my dreams came true. NIT RAIPUR gives the best facilities to its students, be it in terms of education, placements, extracurricular activities, etc.

Infrastructure:

My college is situated in Raipur, the capital city of Chhattisgarh. It is spread over an area of 100 acres. It is central government funded. It is an institute of national importance. It has very good transport facilities. The railway station is just at the back side of NIT Raipur. So the connectivity to other cities is very good. The college campus has B-Mart which is a departmental store having groceries, copies, pens, and all other stationery items. There is also a laundry facility present. There is Canteen, Amul Parlour and Juice Corner. It also provides medical facilities, Central Computer Center, and Central Library. There are separate hostels for girls and boys. At present, the college offers 12 courses. There is a separate building for architecture. The whole campus has Wi-Fi connectivity. The campus is very beautiful and greenery is present all around. The campus has a playground where we can play cricket, football, etc. Indian Coffee House is also present on our campus.

Academics:

The college offers 12 courses such as Architecture, Bio-Medical, Bio-Technology, Mechanical, electrical, Computer Science, Information Technology, etc. All the departments offer very good academics. The courses are very well designed and provide a strong theory foundation along with practical applications. It is very helpful for students in the future. The faculties are very talented and help students in every possible way. Our college follows CBCS Scheme.

Faculties:

The college provides accommodation to faculties. The faculties in this college are very talented and experienced. They are very helpful and always guide students. Whenever we ask for doubts, they clear them with patience and are always approachable. They always inspire and motivate students to do their best in their lives.

Events and Societies:

In my college, there are many clubs and committees catering to diverse interests. Raaga club for students interested in music. Nrityam club for students interested in dance. Click Club for students interested in photography. Abhinay for people interested in acting. It performs NUKKAD nataks. Literary committee for students interested in writing. Other clubs include Technocracy, Cultural Committee, Interact Club, Shaurya Club (Sports Club), Robotics Club, Go Green Club, Sahyog (The mentorship club), Entrepreneurship-Cell, IEEE, etc. NCC and NSS are also present.

The college organizes various hackathons and competitions which allow students to interact with each other. It organizes various fun events and fests like DJ nights, TED talks, Garba nights, AAVARTAN, ECLECTIKA, etc.

Placements:

The placement record of our college is very impressive. Many companies come to our college on campus. Some of the companies that visits our campus placements are Optum, Oracle, DE Shaw, etc. Most of the students are placed on campus. The placement percentage of our college is very good which also shows its reputation.

My experience was very good at NIT Raipur. It gave me a lot of memories that I will cherish forever.
