I passed out B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering. Overall the college experience is both positive and negative because of the pandemic. I did not get to attend college for a huge part. As I only attended college in my last 2 years but the days I spent are full of new experiences and learning. It is now an autonomous college under the affiliation of MAKAUT.

About the Campus:

The campus is pretty large around 37 acres. It has modern classrooms, a rainwater harvesting area, high-tech laboratories, a hall with large seating, a huge library(Aryabhatta Library), a placement cell, and a campus canteen that serves scrumptious meals.

First and Second-Year Experience:

The first and second year of my college was online. So the classes were on google meet. I mostly explored topics related to my curriculum. I started developing my interest in C/C++. The teachers were very supportive and taught even the most difficult subjects in the easiest manner possible. The labs were conducted and softcopy of the lab manuals were provided in Google classrooms. In my second year, I started to develop an interest in web development. The curriculum of the university was up to date and related to the industry. There are also various societies in the college. I was part of the CSI. They conducted various workshops from time to time.

Final-years

In my third year, the college reopens in offline mode. In the third year, there was a training program which was conducted by the college in various technology which lasted for 2 months. After that, there were few internships and training provided by the college. I was able to be part of the training program conducted by PWC which lasted for 4 months. In the final year, it was the placement season and everyone got busy with the placements. The placement of the college is good. Companies like Accenture, Cognizant, Wipro, and Capgemini are major recruiters I was from the CS branch so I did not know about the core sectors. Overall all the service-based companies visited our college for the placement. If you want to get into the product-based companies you need to apply off-campus. A few startups also visit the college. The average package is in the range of 5-6 lpa. Overall the college experience was good.
