I had a chance to appear for the hiring process of Hyland India for my summer internship. Let me tell you the process step-by-step:

Interview Process (Step-by-Step):

  1. Screening: Hyland India opened the position for a summer intern in their R&D department through employee referrals only. I saw a post of one employee that Hyland is hiring for a summer intern and I also saw this post on Arsh Goyal’s telegram channel, I immediately mailed my resume to the employee. The resume got selected and I received a hacker rank assessment link.
  2. Online Assessment: The assessment was easy with 6 MCQ based on DSA, Aptitude, and Logical thinking and 3 Coding questions with 2 easy and 1 medium-level question. The test time was 1.5 hours which was more than sufficient to write comments also in the code, Overall the assessment was an easy task if you practice GFG daily questions. I knew that my 5 MCQs and all the coding questions are correct. Hence, I got a call from HR to schedule my interview.
  3. Interview: There was only 1 interview of 45 mins with a panel of 2. I was first asked about my intro, then we deep-dived in my resume and they asked me about my favorite project and what’s so special about that. Then we discussed the project in-depth, discussed challenges I faced during the implementation of some features, and a lot more (Your project on your resume is very important to know as cross questions will be asked based on that). Then one of the interviewers asked a solution-based question where I was given the scenario of making a calculator that accepts 2 numbers with max 2 decimal places and performing some operations. I asked a few questions to get clarification on constraints and provided my solution. Then the other interviewer asked me to write the code of Recursive Fibonacci on any IDE or notepad (I choose Notepad). I was able to write the code correctly and the interview ended.
  4. Selected: I got a call from HR that I was selected for the internship and to proceed with other formalities.

It’s a 10-week internship, WFH, the company office is in Kolkata, India and the headquarter is in Westlake, Ohio, USA. The experience working here is so much good, the work culture is beyond excellence and I love working with Hyland.
