HashedIn by Deloitte Interview Experience for DevOps Engineer-1

HashedIn by Deloitte conducted on-campus recruitment in our college. So, they conducted tests for SDE as well as DevOps role.

They shared the list of eligible candidates and I was eligible to take the test. I given OA for DevOps role.

OA was on 19th Dec 2022

Round 1 -Online Assessment (OA): It was an online test consisting of 2 coding questions and one questions were of easy level and one was of medium level. Only 20 students got shortlisted in this round for DevOps. Questions were mainly based on arrays and strings.

On the next day of OA, I got a mail for the 2nd round which was after few hours.

Round 2 was on 20th Dec 2022

Round 2(Technical Interview 1): In this round, the interviewer were interested to check my knowledge and problem-solving skills. The interview was of 45 minutes duration.

The interviewer was very friendly and asked me to introduce myself to him and started the interview.
First, he asked me to share my screen and he gave me 1-Coding question which was based on pattern.
In this round , basically he wants to chcek my logic which i applied to the question. After I solved the coding question, he started asking questions from my resume. So, whatever i have written in my resume he asked almost every question from there, also he asked me about my ranks in the coding competition and everything which i mentioned in the resume.
Also, he asked me about cloud and I was more into AWS Cloud so, he asked me about some services like EC2, S3, how you have created , for what purpose and some in-depth question about deployment and AWS Cloud.
After that, he asked me about devops and basic questions like what is devops and which tools are used. So I already use some tools like docker, git, kubernetes etc. So, he asked me some commands of docker and git.
Then some questions from DBMS, OOPS and some basic concept of computer networks.

Within 1 hour I got a mail for the next round of interview.

Round 3(Technical Interview 2): In this round, the interviewer was very senior to me and he was interested to know every single thing about me. The interview was of 50-55 minutes.

He started with the introduction, asked me about my hobbies and he started a discussion on cloud , So he asked me some questions like what is cloud and it’s types , which cloud you use etc, also whatever i gave answers he asked some question from that also , like i said multi-tenant, he asked me about that term, so he asked me about every single small details. So, it was a long discussion.
After answering all questions, he asked me about why you want to be a devops engineer, why not a software developer. And then, he asked me about my recent college projects , so asked me everything about the project and we have a healthy discussion on that.
Then, he asked questions on CS-Fundamentals and then asked me about SQL queries, Python and asked me to write some queries. So after that he asked me about devops tools and some commands of docker and git, GitHub, difference between git and GitHub.

So, I was confident about myself and I tried to give my best.
