Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants have to meet the eligibility criteria set by the university, including minimum academic qualifications and entrance examination requirements. These criteria may vary depending on the program and category (e.g., Indian nationals, NRI/PIO/Foreign nationals).

Entrance Examination: 

Admission to the MCA program at GGSIPU takes place in three ways:

• Through the NIMCET exam conducted by different NITs on a rotation basis:

To get admission through this process, a candidate should have a valid NIMCET rank in the respective discipline. Then, next, they have to participate in the IPU counseling process.

• Through the IPU MCA CET exam conducted by GGSIPU:

To get admission through this process, a candidate should have a valid CET rank in the respective discipline. Then, next, they have to participate in the IPU counseling process.

• Through the CUET entrance exam conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA):

To get admission through this process, a candidate should have a valid CUET rank in the respective discipline. Then, next, they have to participate in the IPU counseling process.

Application Process:

Candidates need to complete the application form for GGSIPU and submit it along with the required documents, such as academic records, certificates, photographs, signatures, etc. The application form can usually be submitted online through the university’s official website.

Entrance Examination and Counselling:

Once the application process ends, candidates have to appear for the IPU CET MCA examination. The exam assesses the candidate’s knowledge in subjects like Mathematics, English, Computer Awareness, and Logical Reasoning. However, GGSIPU first gives preference to your NIMCET Rank, then your IPU CET MCA rank, and at last your CUET rank.

Counseling and Seat Allotment:

Shortlisted candidates are invited for counseling sessions. During counseling, candidates can choose their preferred college based on their rank and availability of seats. Seat allotment is done based on the candidate’s merit and preferences.

Document Verification:

After the seat allotment, selected candidates are required to report to the university for document verification. They need to submit the necessary documents, such as educational certificates, identity proof, 10th and 12th documents, and other relevant paperwork takes place.

Fee Payment and Admission Confirmation: 

Candidates who have successfully completed document verification work now need to pay the admission fees within the specified time frame to confirm their seat. Once the candidate fees are paid, the admission process is considered complete.
