Chitkara University, Punjab Admission Experience for Btech

Hey guys, fellow engineering students here! I’m in the 2021-2025 batch at Chitkara University, Rajpura, and let me tell you about my admission experience on campus.

First things first, Chitkara’s not in Chandigarh, it’s 25 km away in Jhansla village. But hey, who’s counting? It’s a private university (established in 2010, fancy!), UGC approved and offers programs from B.Tech to PhD in a bunch of fields, like engineering, management, and even hospitality (future chefs, unite!). They’ve got another campus in Himachal Pradesh too, in case you’re feeling adventurous.

Let me break down some key aspects of Chitkara University:

Program Buffet:

Chitkara University offers a bunch of programs in different areas like engineering, management, computer applications, healthcare, and more. For B.Tech, they’ve got specializations like Computer Science Engineering, AI, Software Engineering, Electronics, Electrical, Civil, Mechanical, Mechatronics, and Automobile Engineering.

Campus Castle:

The campus is massive, covering around 50 acres, and the infrastructure is top-notch, earning it a 5-star rating. Modern facilities like labs, libraries, classrooms, hostels, and sports facilities are available, making it a great place for learning.

Faculty:

The professors and lecturers at Chitkara University are highly qualified and experienced. While some teachers are awesome, some might be a bit on the boring side. It’s a mix, but they’re all dedicated to providing quality education. Chitkara University goes above and beyond by bringing in experts from big companies like Microsoft! These professionals aren’t just book-smart; they’ve faced real challenges in the tech world and conquered them. So, you’re not only learning from teachers; you’re getting real-world insights from people who have been in the thick of it. Get ready for some mind-blowing lessons and a possible boost in your coding skills!

Industry Interface:

Chitkara University focuses on connecting students with industries. They have partnerships with various companies for internships, training, and placements. Guest lectures, seminars, and workshops are regular occurrences to bridge the gap between studies and industry needs.

Fees:

The fees vary for each course. For B.Tech, it’s 82 thousand per semester (5% academic fee increment for every new batch at Chitkara University.), plus an additional 10 thousand for CAS/ERP (online services).

Hostel and Fees:

There are separate hostels for girls and boys, offering both AC and non-AC rooms. The fees vary based on sharing options, ranging from 64,500 to 75,500 per semester, including mess and laundry fees.

Campus Culinary Delights:
