Guru Ghasidas University Admission Experience

The college journey is a complete rollercoaster of excitement and nerves, especially for the freshers who enter after taking JEE mains exam or on any merit basis. College is a place of diverse cultures, passions, and courses and is full of dreams, making it a reality is a huge achievement in itself to secure a spot.

I, who recently completed her intermediate studies and then went through several competitive exams like JEE, when the result was announced, started choosing the college and going through several rounds of JOSAA and CSAB. and then I got the college name “GURU GHASIDAS UNIVERSITY” Bilaspur, Chhatisgarh which is one of the central universities.

Then I went through the several procedures of admission for the B.TECH program in the INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY branch. The admission process was very smooth as all the people were very helpful. Now let’s start the journey of my college life.

As a fresher of this college, I started my journey online as my semester was online, and it was not much experience but after that at the start of 2nd semester, I came to Bilaspur, as our classes are conducted offline. This new city gave me a lot of new experiences like new people, a new city, a new culture and a completely new life. In the beginning, it was difficult to adapt to this new nature and culture, but gradually I started liking it . Started joining classes with amazing classmates and batchmates. started exploring regional dishes, local foods, places and many more. After that I started looking for my personal growth then I got to know about the several clubs in our colleges and seniors are taking interviews for being in a club. I was very happy and excited. I gave the interview for GFG, but the result was not in my favor but learned a lot from that interview and then gave an interview for another club, and there I got selected as a CP/DSA member.

As I approach my 2nd year in this college, I started exploring the placement and the way to get placed in a good company and also being in a club, I started learning more about CP/DSA. At the beginning of 2nd year, I was not very consistent towards my work but in the 4th sem, I started giving time to myself for self-growth.

Now I am in 3rd year. and at the beginning of 3rd year, I had an interview with seniors for a lead of CP/DSA in the club GFG luckily I got selected and now I am the lead of the CP/DSA team in our club GFG.

I have 3 semesters left for the completion of this B.TECH program and I want to contribute a lot to my self-growth. And I am doing it consistently. I am also connected with my seniors for all the information regarding placements and they help a lot for self-improvement. Here Faculty members and seniors are very helpful and cooperative towards us. Placement scenarios are also good and it is increasing day by day which is a good thing. it is a decent college with very helpful faculty members and seniors.
