Introduction:

Hello! I’m Siri Varsha Puli, currently in my third year of B.Tech at Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya. Our university spans 655 acres and is home to 32 diverse departments, creating a vibrant tapestry of learning and creativity.

Adapting to a New Environment:

Originally from Andhra Pradesh, where Telugu is spoken, adjusting to the Hindi-speaking environment here posed an initial challenge. The journey began with a heartwarming online orientation week during the lockdown, offering a virtual introduction to the myriad activities our university has to offer.

The Academic Hub – Library:

The beating heart of our campus, the library, swiftly became my sanctuary. Engaging in intellectual dialogues with professors and fellow students not only nurtured my academic pursuits but also fostered a profound sense of community, amplifying our shared passion for the written word.

First-Year Highlights – Tech Fest and Connections:

In my inaugural year, participating in the Tech Fest emerged as a defining highlight. Beyond valuable experiences, it opened doors to connect with interactive seniors.

Balancing Act in the Second Year:

Progressing into the second year, I found a balance between studies and co-curricular engagement, affiliating with both the GFG Student Chapter GGV and the Google Developer Student Club.

New Heights in the Third Year – Marketing Head Role:

The third year unfurled a new chapter as I interviewed for GFG, culminating in my prideful appointment as the Marketing Head of GFG Student Chapter GGV. This role not only brings joy but also serves as a platform for delving into intriguing realms of knowledge.

Navigating Challenges and Building Friendships:

Amidst the academic fervour, I forged trustworthy friendships, imbibed invaluable lessons, and navigated challenges posed by not-so-great influences. Certain individuals emerged as steadfast companions, integral to my college life, supporting me through the roller coaster of ups and downs.

Exploring Bilaspur and Memorable Trips:

Beyond the confines of academia, Bilaspur became my exploration ground. From vibrant malls to aromatic biryani spots and tempting street food, I immersed myself in the local culture, savouring a plethora of culinary delights. A particularly cherished chapter was a memorable trip with my classmates in the second year. This excursion not only created enduring bonds but also etched memories that will last a lifetime.
